But Rudiger insists he needs a break before deciding on his future after starring in a hard-fought 1-0 win over Chile.

He said: "It's not about the future now, it's now about enjoyment.

"I need to enjoy this moment and I'm enjoying it to the fullest.

"The rest we will see in the coming weeks."

Chelsea are hoping to complete a £30m deal for Rudiger, 24, to firm up Conte's back line for their title defence.

The powerhouse excelled as under-strength Germany shut out Chile and his physical style should suit the Premier League.

Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alex Sandro are the final pieces of Conte's puzzle as the Italian seeks to build on a stunning debut season in England.

Sandro could set the Blues back a club-record £60m, with Bakayoko coming it at around £35m.

Chelsea's summer spending will see some players moved on to raise funds as Nemanja Matic is expected to follow Asmir Begovic, Juan Cuadrado, Christian Atsu and Nathan Ake out of the club.
