German sportswear giants adidas were the club's previous kit sponsor but rivals Nike bought out their contract to design this season's new shirts.

And fans will be delighted with the results as Chelsea release a new, smart stylish blue home kit with white shirt and white shorts when they play away from home.

Chelsea describe the home kit as 'modern and at the same time rooted in the club's heritage.'

The shirt includes a round neck collar with 'CHELSEA' knitted into the back of the neck.

'THE BLUES' is written inside the cuff of the right sleeve whilst the left reminds fans when the club were founded in 1905.

White stripes make their way down the side of the shorts whilst white socks complete the home kit.

The away strip has changed from black to white 'with a soft silver hue to reflect this collection of silverware'.

Chelsea took inspiration for the away kit from their title-winning campaign with the Academy and Ladies teams lifting trophies.

And whilst most kit launches are helped by team's star players, Chelsea went for a different approach using FIFA star Alex Hunter.

Hunter made his name in The Journey game and now plays at Stamford Bridge.
