Manchester United transfer news: Red Devils’ target Renato Sanches has told Bayern Munich he wants to leave

The 19-year-old endured a unimpressive debut season with the German champions and is looking for an exit, according to reports

MANCHESTER UNITED have been put on red alert after Bayern Munich starlet Renato Sanches revealed he is open to leaving the Allianz Arena.

According to reports from Italy, the 19-year-old, who has also piqued the interest of Juventus, informed the club's officials that he is unhappy with the amount of game time he got last term.

The midfielder snubbed United in favour of a move to Bavaria last summer but failed to make any impression in Germany.

Sanches only started six Bundesliga games, failing to score or provide an assist in 25 appearances in all competitions -- completing 90 minutes on just one occasion.

The former Benfica man's disappointing season was compounded by the fact that he was demoted to Portugal's under 21 side this summer.

The Portugal international's future has been thrown into further doubt after the German champions acquired the services of fellow midfielder Coretin Tolisso from Lyon.

Italian news outlet Calciomercato also claim that talks between Bayern and Juve have been ongoing for the past few months regarding various transfers.

And the Turin-based club have told Bayern that they wish to be told if they decide to sell Sanches this summer.
