David De Gea moves out of £3.85m mansion complete with outside pool and gym fuelling speculation he is set to quit Manchester United for Real Madrid
Zinedine Zidane's side have already launched a £60m bid for the stopper as they look for a new number one
MANCHESTER UNITED ace David De Gea has moved out of his £3.85million Cheshire mansion as Real Madrid step up their interest in the Spaniard.
The Champions League winners have targeted the keeper as their top transfer priority this summer as they look to replace Keylor Navas between the sticks.
And De Gea has further fuelled speculation that a move to the Bernabeu could be on the horizon after deciding against keeping his tenancy at the luxury five-bed home.
The plush pad, which boasted an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and even its own glass trophy cabinet, went on the market in April but has now been sold for just under £4m.
It has plunged De Gea's future into doubt having already been the subject of a £60m bid from Zinedine Zidane's side this summer.
The bid was rejected but with Manchester United after Alvaro Morata, Real Madrid could be using the striker as bait in order to bring De Gea back home this summer.
And it has proved perfect timing with United's shot stopper in the market for a new home.
He had his own personal gym with en-suite bathrooms, a top of the range cinema room with surround sound, a separate converted cottage, triple garage and 1.5 acres of manicured gardens.
Manchester United transfer news
De Gea, who grew up in Madrid with Diego Simeone's Atletico, was on the brink of signing for rivals Real in 2015 but a deal fell through in the final stages.
He has been on their shortlist for three years and are prepared to break a world record fee for a goalkeeper to secure his signature this summer.
It will prove a huge blow to Jose Mourinho's ambitions if they does fail to keep hold of their star man.
The Spanish international joined Old Trafford from Atletico in 2011 for £17.8m and his nightmare debut campaign was quickly forgotten following a Premier League title win in 2013.
Real Madrid do have other targets in Italy sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma and Thibaut Courtois but their pursuit of De Gea is far from over.
