Tyson Fury discusses September comeback for Anthony Joshua despite being in worst ever shape at eight stone overweight
A diet of curry and pie while he fights for his boxing licence has left the former champion in a state
TYSON FURY is in the worst shape of his life but still claims he can come back and dethrone heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua as September.
The fighter has ballooned since troubles outside the ring cost him his boxing licence and – despite repeated comeback promises and training videos – the Traveller looks obese.
At a charity night to celebrate Collyhurst & Moston boxing club’s centenary, Fury looked a giant shadow of the man who stunned beat Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.
Fury admits he is EIGHT STONE overweight after gorging on curries and pies while he fights his ban with the BBBoC but still claims he can beat “weightlifter” AJ.
Fury said: “Well as you can see I’m in the fattest shape of my life, I’m a fat b******!
“I’ve had too much curry and pie.”
“I have started training back after two years out the ring nearly I’m only the fifth day in – I’ve only got eight stone to lose.
“To be honest I’ve got a few things going on, I’m looking to be back September – October time.
“I’ll have a couple of warm up fights to try and get some fat off then we’ll go for the big’un, everyone’s saying it’s a big one but if I can’t beat a weightlifter then I must be s***”
Despite being in a long-running war of words with AJ, Fury praised his performance at Wembley in April, after he climbed off the canvas to stop the boxing icon.
Fury said: “I was very impressed, it was an exciting fight, both fighters did well and the best man won.
“There’s no other fights out there, there’s only one man in the division and that’s me, whether I’m fat or not.
“I’ll get back in there and either get my jaw braked or brake somebody else’s.”
