But Didier Deschamps warned Mbappe about his next move when he accused mega-rich Premier League clubs of holding back French players.

The France boss played at Chelsea towards the end of his career and knows chances can be limited.

Manchester United winger Anthony Martial is not in the squad to face the Three Lions, while Euro 2016 star Moussa Sissoko has struggled at Tottenham this season.

Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy were both released by Manchester City and Olivier Giroud has been on the bench at Arsenal.

Deschamps said: “It is not always good for us to see French players leaving for the Premier League as there is more money over there.

“French football has always had a good reputation for training the youth but this depends on the championship we have here, which is more open to younger players without experience.”

But Deschamps hailed Giroud for seizing his chance with the national team, though the Gunners striker is set to make way for Mbappe tonight.

Giroud netted a stunner in last Friday’s 2-1 defeat to Sweden in World Cup qualifying.

And boss Deschamps said: “It’s obviously better for them to play as many games as possible but look at Olivier Giroud, he did not play a lot but when he did he was very efficient.

“Then when he came to French selection he was quite fresh, maybe fresher than other players.

“What is important for me is that they come to the national team with trust and they need to be efficient on the pitch.”

Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris is set to keep his place to help him get over his clanger in Stockholm when he teed up Ola Toivonen’s brilliant winning lob.

Deschamps said: “He shared the same opinion as I did.

“We wanted him to go back on the pitch and give it his best shot.”

N’Golo Kante will start in midfield, with Deschamps revealing the Chelsea star was carrying a knock at the end of last season.

Mbappe will lead the line — amid talk of that mega-money switch to Madrid.

Monaco are expecting a £120m bid from Spanish giants Real but they may not be able to guarantee the whizkid regular games.
