Sir Patrick Stewart takes part in podium celebrations and drinks from Daniel Ricciardo’s racing shoe
Famous actor took part in an Australian way of drinking as Lewis Hamilton won the Canadian Grand Prix
SIR PATRICK STEWART drank in Australian style as he copied Daniel Ricciardo's 'shoey' celebration on the podium at the Canadian Grand Prix.
Ricciardo is known for drinking champagne from his racing boot when he finishes in the top three places but on this occasion the Star Trek actor joined him in his antics.
The Aussie finished third behind Valterri Bottas and race winner Lewis Hamilton in Montreal.
The actor from X-Men was at the race and appeared on the grid before the race and also asked questions on the podium.
Once Ricciardo had drunk from his shoe, he was shocked to see the 76-year-old Brit copy him and guzzle from his racing boot.
Following his third-placed finish, Ricciardo said: "I only had fun when I saw the chequered flag.
"It was tough. I was defending the whole race and we weren't that quick to be honest. We had pressure, pressure, I couldn't afford to do any mistakes and it was getting quite hot.
"Concentration was being tested but I enjoyed it, and it's amazing to be on the podium."
