Barcelona chief spotted at Arsenal’s match against Manchester United to scout Hector Bellerin ahead of summer swoop
Technical secretary Robert Fernandez was spotted in North London on Sunday to watch Gunners' 2-0 win
BARCELONA scouted Hector Bellerin during Arsenal's win over Manchester United, according to reports.
claim technical secretary Robert Fernandez was spotted in North London on Sunday.
He was apparently at the Emirates to watch long-term target Bellerin as the summer window approaches.
But Fernandez will have been left disappointed after the full-back replaced Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with the Gunners already 2-0 up.
Bellerin, 22, has been benched since Arsene Wenger switched to a back three.
And it is looking increasingly likely he will be on the move at the end of the season, with Barca keeping tabs on him.
Manchester City are another option as they look to fill what has been a problem area.

Some reports have suggested Etihad bigwig Txiki Begiristain has already spoken repeatedly with the player’s representative Albert Botines.
City have also been linked with Tottenham’s Kyle Walker in recent weeks.
Asked about signing Bellerin and Paulo Dybala in March, Fernandez said: "Those players are under contract with their respective clubs and especially when a player has a long-term contract, it is very difficult.
"At Barca we are attentive to all market movements and we have the obligation to be on guard if there is movement of a good player who is wanted by others.
"Therefore, we will be prepared for any situation. But it is also true what a player is worth and what we have here."
