  • Which goalkeepers are on United's radar?

Andre Onana has struggled to make his mark for the Red Devils since arriving from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023.

The stats say he's made 14 errors leading to goals over the last two years, but it's surely feels like more.

United are considering a £34m move for Real Madrid No 2 Andriy Lunin during the summer window.

Lunin mad 31 appearances for Madrid last season due to the absence of Thibaut Courtois.

Moreover, United could look to sign Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Aynsley Pears.

Burnley's James Trafford has emerged as a potential target, even though Newcastle have put in a lot of legwork to secure his services.

Trafford, 22, recently kept 11 consecutive clean sheets for the club -- a streak of just under 1,000 minutes without a goal.

  • United targeting new right wing-back

Manchester United are sounding out alternatives to Sporting CP ace Geovany Quenda.

Ruben Amorim has used several different players in the position this campaign, but doesn't have a specialist who truly matches his 3-4-3 tactics.

United have identified Quenda as a target for the summer and have held talks with Sporting to try and reunite him with Amorim.

But, according to journalist Graeme Bailey, United officials are concerned that the 17-year-old might prove to be too expensive.

As such, the Red Devils have landed on another Primeira Liga wide man as a different solution, in Roger Fernandes.

The Braga star is two years older than Quenda and also has a very bright future ahead of him.

Fernandes has notched five goals and five assists in 44 appearances across all competitions this season.

  • Sesk appeak for Prem giants

RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko could be at the centre of another Prem transfer tussle.

  • Devil of a travel plan

United will face off against Premier League rivals in a pre-season tournament in the United States that will see them travel nearly 9,000 miles.

The Red Devils will try and shake off their dismal 2024/25 campaign across three US states, playing three Prem teams.

United will take on West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton in the Premier League Summer Series in July and August.

It will be the third year running that United have taken their pre-season preparations to the US.

Ruben Amorim’s side will begin their tour with a 3,334-mile trip from Manchester to New Jersey, where they will face West Ham at MetLife stadium on July 26 – home of the NFL‘s New York Jets and New York Giants.

They will then board another plane to fly 782 miles to face AFC Bournemouth in Chicago just four days later.

That game will take place at Soldier Field, one of the oldest and most famous stadiums in the NFL and the home ground of MLS club Chicago Fire.

Following that, the Red Devils will then make another 714-mile trip to arrive in Atlanta another four days later.

There they will play their final match of the pre-season tour, facing Everton at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Once they’ve faced the Toffees, United will then head back to Manchester in another 4,080-mile flight.

  • Stats show Amorim emulated idol Mourinho

Ruben Aamorim was able to emulate his idol Jose Mourinho by stifling Arsenal - as stats show.

The Red Devils manager oversaw one of his side's best performances since he replaced Erik ten Hag earlier this season.

Amorim, 40, has not had a lot to cheer about since he was appointed Manchester United manager back in November.

Illustration of Manchester United's average team position against Arsenal.

But the credible 1-1 draw against the title-chasing Arsenal at Old Trafford was a measurable improvement on recent outings.

During the game, the hosts took the lead through a stunning Bruno Fernandes free-kick.

A wonderful strike from Declan Rice late in the second half earned Arsenal a share of the spoils, but effectively ruled them out of the title race.

Mikel Arteta's side dominated the ball for much of the game but struggled to create many clearcut opportunities.

The hosts, on the other hand created the most dangerous chances, and were unlucky not to be out of sight by the time Rice struck.

David Raya made great stops to deny both Noussair Mazraoui and Joshua Zirkzee to keep the difference to just one goal.

Following the match, stats showed that Man United were happy to camp in their own half and soak up the Arsenal attack.

  • Berta 'picks Gunners ahead of Man Utd'

Andrea Berta was reportedly on Manchester United's radar - before it's understood he agreed to become Arsenal's sporting director.

Edu is stepping down after five years in the role at the Emirates.

And it's claimed Berta, 53. was also interesting United as well as continental rivals like Paris Saint-Germain.

He held a similar role at Atletico Madrid for 12 years.

  • Benjamin Sesko transfer war

RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko could be at the centre of another Premier League transfer tussle.

Arsenal are tipped to be frontrunners, with £66million reckoned to be the likely fee for Sesko

But Manchester United could also be in contention again for the Slovenia international.

The Gunners are much more desperate to sign a striker.

  • Roger Fernandes interest

Manchester United are being linked with Braga ace Roger Fernandes ahead of the summer transfer window.

Fernandes is rated as an alternative to Sporting Lisbon wonderkid Geovany Quenda, who would cost more.

United manager Ruben Amorim is keen to strengthen his flank options - as it's crucial to his favoued 3-4-2-1 formation.

Fernandes has bagged five goals and five assists in 44 appearances across all competitions this season.

  • Amorim claims his players are 'deeply scarred'

Ruben Amorim has added a shocking reason to why he reckons Manchester United might take years to become an elite side once more.

The Old Trafford boss told : “To tell you the truth, I feel sometimes there are scars in our team, in our players.

“They are good players, but they (scars) are so deep, they are so long here that it is hard to change things in one moment.

“Some players had one coach and then comes a new coach, new hope, new momentum and then we go to the same place.

“Imagine this for any person, in any job. Imagine this as a player, with all the media and social media. So it's really hard to turn things around just like that.”

  • Camavinga asking price

Manchester United have been told that Real Madrid ace Eduardo Camavinga would cost £58million.

According to , Real are open to selling Camavinga in the summer for the right price.

That's despite the 22-year-old having previously insisted he'd prefer to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The midfielder has faced injury problems this season with Los Blancos.

And the France international is also far from an automatic choice when fit.

  • Ruben finally getting 'connected' to players

Old Trafford chief Ruben Amorim reckons he made mistakes soon after taking over in November.

But he believes he's now "connecting" to his squad.

Amorim said: “All the staff are paying attention to you so you have to pay attention to that, and that is something that I didn’t do very well in the beginning here in Manchester because I was focused on the games.

“At the moment I am starting to get a really good connection with all the staff and the players.”

  • Keane fears Utd will get WORSE

Red Devils' legend Roy Keane fears United might not yet have hit rock bottom.

The Sky Sports pundit said: "The standards of the club have been dropping for a number of years, and have they reached rock bottom?

"Maybe there's a bit to go yet..."

  • RESULT: Man Utd 1-1 Arsenal

Only Raya's stunning last-gasp save denied Man Utd victory.

The lively draw leaves Arsenal 15 points behind leaders Liverpool.

United are still down in 14th place.

  • Ferdinand shares Arsenal advice

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand believes only one signing can transform Arsenal to serious title contenders – and it’s Newcastle star striker Alexander Isak.

If you can sign Isak, you’ve got to do it.

They could win the league with him because he’s phenomenal and gives them something different.

They’ve put so many good pieces in but they need that little extra now.

  • Devil in the detail

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim believes it is difficult to turn things around at Old Trafford as there are deep scars in the team.

To tell you the truth, I feel sometimes there are scars in our team, in our players.

They are good players, but they [scars] are so deep, they are so long here that it is hard to change things in one moment.

Top of the transfer list is Viktor Gyokeres, who is Amorim’s former centre-forward at Sporting Lisbon.

But despite Gyokeres being keen on the premise of a reunion with the Portuguese head coach, he’s pushing for a move to a Champions League team.
