Rooney on Amorim
I think he'll get time (Amorim). It's not a free hit because he'll expect more from Man Utd then what we're seeing since he's been in.
“It's very difficult to come in during the season and have no pre-season, but he has to look to the future and moving forward.
“He says winning the Premier League, how can they compete? To get further up the table, I think that's the next step for them.”
Bassey's proud of his team
It's a privilege and an honour to be here. To come here, it is a blessing, so I'm happy.
"I like to say I'm a bit of poacher. Trying to smell where the ball would go and reacted first. Put my head on it and back of the net.
"They're a very good team with a lot of talent. We tried to take the sting out of the game and control possession.
"They had their chances and sometimes a game goes down to penalties. We had a bit of fortune in the penalties with Leno saving two.
"I am proud of every single player."
Amorim's goal
After the game, Ruben Amorim reiterated what his goal is for Man Utd.
"The goal is to win the Premier League," he said.
"I know that we are losing games but the goal is to win the Premier League again. I don't know how long it will take.
"We have a goal and we continue forward no matter what. it's impossible to know but you start understanding the players are better and we understand the league. We'll see in the future."
Marco Silva speaks
In some moments we showed very good quality, our identity was there.
“We sorted some things and did much better. we built our attacking moments really well. The way the team played in the second half and all of extra time makes me really proud because we came here and were the dominant team.
“We were brave, we did it in our way. It was a big fight. I love the composure of our own players.”
Calvin Bassey on hero Bernd Leno
He has been amazing. He has kept us in games so many times. He deserves the recognition.
"We're buzzing and we take each game as it comes.
"That's the best way to take each game. Don't get too down with the losses and don't let the wins get to your head."
Silva on winning on pens
Marco Silva has delivered his verdict on the composure of his team - winning on pens.
He said: "I love the composure of our team,” Silva stated. “We prepared really well [for] the game. We knew what the game could demand from ourselves, for the 90, for the 120 minutes, even for the penalties.
“And the composure of our players…was great to see Raúl, Sander, Willian and Robinson do it the way they did. I told the players in the last seconds before the penalty shoot-out that we’ve come a long way, to be in the next stage.
“I know that it’s not easy away from home, with this crowd, to take the responsibility in that moment in the penalty shoot-out, but it was a moment for us to embrace the challenge, and to go and do what we prepared, the way they did it in the training sessions.
“And they did it fantastically. And of course Leno, it was a moment for him to do his part, and he did it in every way.”
Zirkzee's tears
JOSHUA ZIRKZEE was left in tears following Man Utd's heartbreaking exit from the FA Cup.
The Red Devils were forced into a penalty shootout by Fulham, following a 1-1 draw.
And it was the Dutch forward who missed the decisive penalty, as his side crashed out of the cup.
Zirkzee was seen looking emotional on the pitch after the game concluded.

Amorim on pens
In the end, the penalties can go both ways and today wasn't our way. It is important to say that with the substitutions we had our chance to win the game.
“I try to relax the players and they know that it is something that is technical - but you have to be relaxed and confident.”
City now favourites
They've had a miserable season, but Man City are now the bookies' favourites to win the FA Cup.
Last season's runners-up are now around 2/1 on to go one better than 2024, following neighbours Man Utd's exit.
Aston Villa are the second favourites, while Brighton, Fulham, and then Preston are deemed less likely winners.

Chance for a new winner
There are four teams remaining in the FA Cup who have never lifted the trophy before - Brighton, Bournemouth, Fulham and Crystal Palace.
If Bournemouth can knock out favourites Man City in the next round the competition will be wide open and there could be a new winner.
Fulham take on Crystal Palace which means at least one club who has never won the FA Cup before will reach the semi-final.

Gordon's moment of madness
Anthony Gordon received a straight red card for lashing out at Brighton's Jan Paul van Hyke, hitting the defender over the head.
It cost his side as Newcastle were dumped out of the FA Cup, and he will now miss the Carabao Cup final, with Gordon likely to receive a three-match ban.
Welbeck delighted with 'magnificent' moment
Manchester United fans have moaned Danny Welbeck would still be their best striker after he netted a late winner against Newcastle.
Supporters were full of praise for Welbeck, who has recently returned from injury.
He said after his goal at St James' Park: “It’s a magnificent moment, great to get the winning goal, it was a solid team performance - there was a lot going on in that game, a lot of ups and downs," Welbeck said.
"We stuck together and I’m so proud of the lads - everyone’s buzzing. Newcastle are a really intense side with great players and are very dangerous but we stuck to our guns and put in a great shift.
"I’m feeling very good, fit, strong, and glad to be back after a little injury – thanks to my mum and dad for giving me the good genes!"
Joint protest from fans
Man Utd and Fulham supporters joined forces to voice their discontent at rising ticket prices.
They called on their clubs to stop exploiting loyalty - it comes after some match tickets for their Prem clash last month were priced at £165 in the Fulham end.
Semi-automated offside makes difference
This round of the FA Cup has seen the introduction of semi-automated offsides for the first time in England.
Newcastle's Fabian Schar had a goal chalked off after he strayed before the last defender, with the semi-automated system showing he was narrowly offside.
The goal to send Brighton through
Danny Welbeck has pounced in extra-time with a goal that surely sends Brighton through to the next round.
FA Cup drama
There was plenty of FA Cup drama yesterday as Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Preston and Manchester City progressed.
Palace's win over Millwall was marred by a horrendous challenge on striker Jean-Phillipe Mateta by goalkeeper Liam Roberts.
Mateta was taken to hospital and required 25 stitches.
Elsewhere Matheus Cunha caused controversy as he got sent off for a headbutt, having scored a brilliant goal from 30 yards.
