Dashing Snowden, who was in the army before becoming a trainer, will film some scenes alongside Hopkins at the track after racing.
The flick — which also features Benedict Cumberbatch and Rosamund Pike — sees Snowden train a string of racehorses for the character Hopkins plays.
Snowden said: “It is a bit of a bizarre scenario. I got a phone call out of the blue asking if I would be interested in this role in this new film Guy Ritchie is producing.
“I’ve not been told much about it, but Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike and Sir Anthony are all in it.
“In the film Sir Anthony has a string of racehorses and I’ve been asked to become his trainer.
“I’m going to do a little bit of filming in the paddock after racing at Sandown. I’ve been told to be there to take a few shots for the film.”
And while admitting his acting skills need brushing up Snowden admits he is looking forward to the experience.
He added: “The whole thing is quite strange, but It is great to be part of it all. I’m excited to meet Sir Anthony.
“I’ve had to sign a few things and they have taken some colours away with them.
“I don’t quite know why they have invited me along as I’m not sure it is for the looks, or my acting skills — but we will have a bit of fun.”
