GERWYN PRICE has joked he could take out Jake Paul with just “one punch” in a boxing match.
The former world champion has recently followed fellow darts ace Stephen Bunting and created his own YouTube channel.
Price was asked by talkSPORT if he now sees himself as an online celebrity, he laughed and said: “I’m definitely not an influencer.
“I get bored easily, as you can see. When I had time off at the back end of last year, I got bored. So when I’m away, I’m going to try and fill in my time and probably record a bit of the backstage stuff, behind the scenes.
“Giving a little bit back to the fans of what goes on behind the scenes because not everybody sees that, you know.”
It was suggested that hitting 100,000 YouTube subscribers could mean a showdown with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul for the Welshman.
He laughed off the idea of facing Paul, confidently stating: “That’s easy. I look forward to that. He’s a YouTuber; he’s not a fighter, is he? I’ve got 999,000 followers to go.”
The idea of fighting Paul on home soil was mentioned, with Cardiff’s Principality Stadium as the suggested venue.
He said: “He’ll never beat me in Wales. Nobody beats me in Wales. He’d probably beat Canelo (if they fought in Mexico), but he’s not beating me, no.”
The Iceman’s confidence in his strength is well-earned, given his background as a former professional rugby union and league player.

He represented Wales at various age levels and was part of the Glasgow Warriors squad in the Pro12 league.
World No.9 Price was then asked what he would do to Paul if they met in the ring, he smiled and said: “I think it would just be one punch, and it would be all over.
“Out cold; it would be a waste of money for people to tune in.”
Price lost his opening Premier League fixture to Chris Dobey last week. He next faces Nathan Aspinall at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on Thursday night.
