Jayson Molumby turned in a corner seconds from the end as West Brom cemented their place in the top six.

But following the final whistle at the Hawthorns, home skipper Bartley was sent off during an ugly brawl.

Players from both sides were embroiled in a shoving match, with Bartley and Wednesday's Svante Ingelsson at the centre.

West Brom's goal hero Molumby was perceived by some Wednesday players as goading them after his dramatic late winner.

As Ingelsson raced to confront the Irishman, Bartley was seen pushing an arm into the midfielder's face.

The incident was spotted by referee Tom Nield, who dished out a straight red to the Baggies captain.

Bartley has only just returned following a calf injury which kept him out for much of January.

He will now miss three games after the straight red card for violent conduct.
