Intercity president Salvador Marti believes it will cost the club around £42million to build.

The 100,000 square metres of land formerly housed a ceramics factory.

Intercity currently plays its home matches at the 2,000-capacity Estadio Antonio Solana.

An ambitious sports and cultural leisure complex will also be built to help secure an economic hub for Valencian community.

Right now, work is being done in six different areas of Alicante, including in some neighbouring municipalities.
