  • 16 - GOAL!!!!! LEYTON ORIENT 1-0 Man City

Oh my gooooooooooooodness gracious me - Orient lead and it's an EXCEPTIONAL goal from Jamie Donley!!!

  • 14 - Leyton Orient 0-0 Man City

What a HUGE chance for Orient to take the lead!

Kelman with incredible pace to break in behind and he's forced wide but still gets a shot away which Ortega does well to keep out.

  • 10 – Leyton Orient 0-0 Man City

    Ilkay Gundogan HAS to score!

A terrific ball over the top finds Savinho who cushions the ball across goal and Gundogan seven yards out gets his feet in a muddle and can't knock it into an empty net. Poor.

  • 7 – Leyton Orient 0-0 Man City

Jack Grealish with City's first attempt at goal but he's drilled it well wide.

  • 5 – Leyton Orient 0-0 Man City

That could do easily be 1-0 to the home side!

More great play down their left - a clear avenue to attack - and a terrific low ball from Currie right through the six-yard box isn't dealt with but they just can't scramble it over the line.

The referee eventually blows for a free kick to City. The crowd must be mightily encouraged!

  • 3 - Leyton Orient 0-0 Man City

Good start from the home side who have build two attacks down the left.

The last one sees Jaiyesimi break free and he tries to cut back inside Lewis but good defending halts that attack.

  • KICK-OFF!

  • Defaced

A couple of pictures surfacing online of the back of the City coach defaced with some interesting drawings.

There's a rather rude one of a male body part alongside the slogan 'Stay Humble'.

Anyway, the teams are in the tunnel for the two early games!

  • Attention turns to the cup for Championship sides

For Championship table-toppers Leeds United and playoff hopefuls Millwall, its a weekend to shift domestic focus from league to cup.

Whilst their respective rivals will be looking to make ground, Leeds and Millwall will battle for a spot in the fifth round - the hosts did last year; Millwall have not done so since 2012.

The pair meet in the FA Cup for the first time.

  • Pre-match name calling

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has apparently gotten under the skins of those in Leyton Orient before the game has already kicked off.

In his pre-match press conference, City boss Guardiola instead called them “Leyton” several times over.

The club are based in Leyton but are regularly referred to as Orient in the football world.

And this triggered several Orient fans who unleashed their fury online. One said: “He has committed a cardinal sin.”

  • Haaland and co RESTED

The talk coming out of Man City is that Erling Haaland absence from the matchday squad is down to rest.

The Norweign hasn't missed a matchday squad all season - and has played in every game bar the last round against Salford - but will miss this one ahead of the crucial Champions League knockout tie against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic are also rested.

  • Embroiled in Rivalry

Neither Manchester United or Colchester United are involved in this one but the former’s presence still remains.

Leyton Orient gaffer Richie Wellens is Manchester-born, a former United player and has a season ticket with the Old Trafford club. His wife is also a Red.

Whilst versatile deep-lying midfielder Ethan Galbraith was at United as a one-year scholar at 16; graduating into the first-team and making one appearance before leaving in 2023.

  • Leeds vs Millwall line-ups

Leeds XI: Darlow; Byram, Struijk, Guilavogui, Schmidt; Ampadu, Rothwell; Gnoto, Chambers, Ramazani; Joseph

Millwall XI: Roberts; Harding, Tanganga, Cooper, Byran; Mitchell, Norrie; Azeez, Cundle, Neghli; Ivanovic

  • From Dan King at the Gaughan Group Stadium

We have an answer to the question everyone's been asking this week: where is Jack Grealish?

He's in the cold and damp East End starting for Manchester City in the FA Cup Fourth Round against League One Leyton Orient. Pep Guardiola - whose biography is among the inspirational books in the classroom which doubles as the press room - has picked a pretty strong team, with debuts for winter window signings Vitor Reis and Nico Gonzalez.

Despite the downbeat, depressing conditions, there's a bit of a crackle around the stadium formerly known as Brisbane Road. There were plenty of home fans, often families, on the eastbound Central Line, and City supporters have travelled in numbers.

  • Leyton Orient vs Manchester City line-ups - Gonzalez and Reis DEBUT

Leyton Orient XI: Keeley; James, Simpson, Happe, Currie; Galbraith, Brown; Perkins, Donley, Jaiyesimi; Kelman

Manchester City XI: Ortega; Lewis, Reis, Dias, O’Reilly; Gonzalez, Gundogan; Savinho, McAtee, Grealish; Marmoush

  • Flat Watchers

Leyton Orient’s 4th round game against Manchester City is the type of fixture that is going to attract quite the crowd, even those without a ticket.

The O’s 9,271-capacity Brisbane Road stadium is expected to be filled out from punters to private boxes but it will also have those in flats in attendance.

There are blocks of flats on the corners of the historic stadium that overlook the pitch.

As part of The Sun’s Life's a Pitch series, one of the tenants Ikram Patel says it’s “fantastic on match days.”
