Littler, 18, smashed The Machine without dropping a leg or even allowing the 10-times major winner one dart a double.

He also delivered a devastating 105.47 average and admitted: “I played very well there. Obviously towards the end I missed 170 and I thought James was going to do it to win his first leg of the match. He missed it and I took my chance.

“You always expect the best game out of James. But I’m thankful for him not turning up tonight.

“But the 105 would have taken some beating and I was good on the doubles that I’m really happy with.

“I just wanted to get the job done. James didn’t play very well. But tonight wasn’t his day.

“I’m a quick starter and that’s what you need in this tournament.

“Double 10 is always there for me, it’s always knocking about. I can always switch to the 10s. It’s an early wake-up for myself tomorrow!

Fans go nuts at Dimitri van den Bergh nine-darter

The teenager continued the one-way traffic to make it SIX legs in succession and 3-0 in sets.

Then to cap off a quite incredible performance, Littler wrapped it up having hit four 180s and a sensational 50 per cent checkout rate.

Meanwhile, Michael van Gerwen was sensationally KO'd from the Masters.

The Dutch star lost to Dimitri Van den Bergh 4-3 in a thriller - after the Belgian had hit a nine-darter.

Van den Bergh will now face Littler in what will be a mouthwatering clash if both players turn up in tonight's form.
