Chelsea prepare opening bid for wantaway Man Utd ace Alejandro Garnacho in £50m deal to kick off transfer merry-go-round
CHELSEA are weighing up an opening bid for Alejandro Garnacho as his future becomes increasingly uncertain.
The Manchester United winger is wanted by The Blues and Italian club Napoli but they are now switching their attention to Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.
And that could pave the way for Chelsea to head the race for the Argentine who would cost around £50 million.
It is believed Garnacho would prefer to remain in the Premier League too - given Chelsea an even stronger hand in the transfer market.
Chelsea have several wingers but with Mykhailo Mudryk possibly facing a lengthy suspension for testing positive for a banned substance, boss Enzo Maresca is exploring new opportunities.
And left-sided forward Christopher Nnkuku is wanted by Bayern Munich leaving further holes to be filled in wide positions.

Maresca is looking forward to the closure of the transfer window, which he's claimed has made his job a million times harder.
When asked how he's been finding January, the Italian said: “A disaster.
“It is normal that you judge the results because the business is a business where you judge the results.
"But I’m happy with the performances, I’m happy because we create and we play.
"On the pitch, I would like to win more games but I’m OK.
"Off the pitch, it is a disaster because of so many noises that don’t help us. I don’t think they help any club.
“It’s not just for us, it’s for every club and every manager. In this moment, whenever there is any noise about any player.
"It is not easy because even if you think the player can be focused on us, in the end he is a human being.
"If there is any noise about another club then he is probably not focused 100%. But we need to adapt because it is like this.”
Chelsea will be back in action on Saturday night, travelling to the Etihad to take on Manchester City.
