Gonzalez standstill
Manchester City are yet to reach an agreement to sign Porto star Nico Gonzalez.
The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium this month.
However, Porto appear to be standing firm on their asking price of £50million - his release clause.
Emery on Villa plans
Unai Emery insisted that Aston Villa are working hard to add to the squad before the end of the window.
He said: "We are working to try and get some players to join us on Monday because we have to replace Diego Carlos, we have to replace (Emi) Buendia, we have to replace Jhon Duran.
"It is not easy because we don't want to replace with players that will not help us like I want. We are being very demanding in it, we have to be intelligent.
"To sign a striker is not easy. We have versatile players and usually Watkins has been consistent, playing matches. He is strong at recovering and playing matches in a row during a week, two or three matches.
"Today he was injured, hopefully it is small. The idea is if we can replace Jhon Duran with another striker. In case we can find a player to help us in the level we want, we will do, but we have versatile players.
"We have to compete and try to get the level we want with the players we have and I think tomorrow or Monday we will be adding two or three more players."
Villa have already signed Marcus Rasfhod and are closing in on Marco Asensio and Axel Disasi.
Sunderland keen on Adingra
Sunderland are reportedly interested in signing Simon Adingra on loan from Brighton.
The Black Cats would be willing to sell star Tommy Watson should Adingra arrive at the Stadium of Light.
Malacia move falls through
Tyrell Malacia's proposed switch to Benfica has fallen though.
It has been claimed that the Portuguese side were not willing to meet Manchester United's terms for the left-back.
Wissa set for stay
Yoane Wissa is reportedly set to stay at Brentford for at least the areas of the season.
The forward was linked with moves to both Nottingham Forest and Arsenal this month.
However, the Bees are not willing to sell and would demand much more than the £20million offer that arrived from Forest.
Nkunku to stay
Christopher Nkunku is reportedly set to stay at Chelsea until the summer at least.
The Athletic have reported that the attacker has had interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
However, the Blues asking price is too high for the two clubs.
The Red Devils had a loan move turned down on Sunday.
Ings on the move?
Danny Ings could be on the move today according to reports.
The West Ham striker is believed to have gained the interest from Southampton, Everton and Celtic.
Ramos undergoes medical
Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos is undergoing a medical with Rayados de Monterrey.
The Spanish defender has been without a club since June last year when he left Sevilla.

Sky Sports have claimed that the Tractor Boys will spend £2million on the goalkeeper.
Canaries add Seagull
Rauiri McConville has left Brighton and Hove Albion for Norwich City.
The defender has moved to Carrow Road on a permanent deal.
Brighton technical director, David Weir said: "Ruairi wants to play regular senior football and establish himself.
“The offer from Norwich City is a very good one for the club, as well as giving Ruairi that opportunity, and we wish him the best of luck for the future.”
Dennis set to leave
Emmanuel Dennis is reportedly set to leave Nottingham Forest.
The BBC has claimed he is keen to leave the City Ground and has held talks with Toulouse.
Werder Bremen are also interested in the striker.
Blues 'ready' Garnacho offer
Chelsea are reportedly ready to make a late offer to sign Alejandro Garnacho today.
The Blues have been heavily linked with the winger all month but a move is yet to happen.
Reports have claimed that Christopher Nkunku is key to the deal as he could leave for Manchester United or Bayern Munich.
Hammer blow
Celtic are refusing to let youngster Daniel Cummings go this month after knocking back an approach from West Ham.
Cummings is keen on a move to London and will now hold talks over a pre-contract deal with the Hammers to join in the summer.
That would see the Scottish side net about £350,000 in compensation.
West Ham have already agreed a deal to take Evan Ferguson on loan this summer, with all documents signed and his medical completed.
Amorim desperate to strengthen
Ruben Amorim has insisted Manchester United are doing all they can to strengthen the team for the remainder of the season
He said: "We are trying everything to improve the team without making the mistakes of the past and also trying to balance the urgency of the moment.
"We know all of the aspects of our club in the moment but we are trying everything.
"This market is really hard on clubs to make some deals. I want to improve the team so badly.
"I know what the team needs. Sometimes it's possible, sometimes it's not. When the window closes we will see the players that we have."
Spurs defender pursuit latest
Tottenham have decided not to pursue Axel Disasi from Chelsea.
The North Londoners are keen to bring in another centre-back before the window closes as they are fearing the worst over Radu Dragusin’s injury.
Chelsea’s Disasi, 26, was mooted as a possible option, though it has been suggested the Frenchman favours a switch to Aston Villa.
But Spurs have decided to look elsewhere.
They hold long-term interest in England star Marc Guehi, but Crystal Palace do not want to let their talisman go this month.
A sale is entirely possible in the summer though when Guehi will have only one year left on his contract.
Tottenham can expect a raft of competition for the ex-Chelsea man then with Liverpool and Newcastle expected to enter the conversation.
Cardiff sign Fox
Cardiff City have signed Will Alves on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Leicester City prospect will join up with his new team-mates once the deal has had approval from the league.
More from Forest
Nottingham Forest have confirmed James Ward-Prowse's return to West Ham after his loan was terminated.
A statement read: "We can confirm that James Ward-Prowse has returned to West Ham United after a mutual agreement was reached between the two clubs.
"Everyone at Forest thanks James for his professionalism and dedication during his time on Trentside and wish him well for the future."
Forest look to Kiwi
Nottingham Forest are reportedly in talk to sign Tyler Bindon from Reading.
The New Zealand defender turned 20 in December.
Sky Sports have claimed that the clubs are in talks over a deal that would see Bindon remain on loan at the Royals until the end of the season.
Hammers bid for Cummings
West Ham have bid for Celtic prospect Daniel Cummings.
The young striker has agreed on a move to the London Stadium and is out of contract in the summer.
The Hammers are keen to wrap up a deal today and have made two offers to Celtic to conclude a deal.
Kelly to seal deal
Lloyd Kelly will seal a move to Serie A giants Juventus today after passing his medical.
The defender joined Newcastle on a free transfer from Bournemouth last summer but has barely featured.
Now a deal that could be worth £20m has been agreed between Toon and Juve.
Kelly flew to Turin yesterday to finalise terms for the initial six-month loan.
That will be obliged to turn into a permanent transfer in the summer provided certain, easily achievable, conditions are fulfilled.
Magpies boss Eddie Howe was reluctant to lose the 26-year-old.
However, the club’s top brass view the offer as being too good to turn down and have opted to sell for a huge profit.
And getting his £100,000-a-week salary off the wage bill will also considerably boost their PSR position going into the summer.
Wolves hopeful over defender
Wolves boss Vitor Pereira is hopeful of completing a £10million move for Red Star Belgrade centre-back Nasser Djiga.
The 22-year-old only signed a permanent deal with the Serbian giants last summer after a successful season-long loan from his parent club Basel.
The Burkina Faso international scored three goals in 39 league appearances and gained valuable experience in the Champions League, scoring once in 16 European appearances for Red Star.
Pereira moved for Djiga after top target Kevin Danso snubbed them to join Spurs instead.
Wolves are also closing in on Reims captain, midfielder Marshall Munetsi.
The 28-year-old Zimbabwe international is likely to cost around £10million but is the vastly experienced midfielder Pereira needs.
Munetsi was honoured by FIFA in 2023 for his charitable work.
When he signed his last contract for Reims, he had a clause inserted which guaranteed his charity Foundation would receive €100 for every kilometre he ran during games.
That resulted in Munetsi writing a cheque for €30,100 (£25,050) to provide access to education for kids in his homeland.
Boro seal winger deal
Middlesborough have signed Samuel Iling-Junior on loan from Aston Villa until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old has joined the club on a contract running until 2030.
However, he will remain on loan at FC Nuremberg until the end of the season.
Carlisle sack manager
Carlisle have sacked Mike Williamson despite signing 11 players in the January transfer window.
The former Premier League star was in charge for just 25 games.
