Kyren Wilson reveals bizarre reason he ‘couldn’t move’ before epic Masters win over Brecel before making X-rated joke
KYREN WILSON has powered into the semi-finals of the Masters - despite nursing a bizarre mattress-related injury.
The World No. 2 beat Luca Brecel 6-4 in a riveting quarter-final at Ally Pally on Friday.
Wilson set up a meeting with arch-rival Judd Trump after a match filled with twists and turns.
But after beating The Belgian Bullet in front of a packed house, Wilson admitted he'd been suffering from an ankle issue.
The 33-year-old revealed he'd woken up and "couldn't move" in his hotel room on Friday morning.
Wilson told the BBC: "With what's gone on today, that's one of the best wins of my career.

"I could make up a story and make it really extravagant.
"But literally, I fell asleep in bed at the hotel, and they tucked the quilt into the mattress.
"My foot has landed in an awkward position for eight hours. And I've woken up and couldn't move."
He cheekily added to laughs: "It's not even like I was having a bonk or being chased by the police."

One fan responded on X: "Is Kyren Wilson the first person who isn't a tabloid headline writer to use the word 'bonk'?"
Another said: "Kyren Wilson, always box office."
Wilson's win puts him on a collision course with Trump, who fought back from 3-1 down to beat Junhui Ding 6-3.
The Ace in the Pack guaranteed himself £75,000 worth of prize money with the victory.
And in doing so, he beat Ronnie O'Sullivan's single-season earnings record.
