Masters snooker 2025 LIVE RESULTS: Shaun Murphy BEATS Kyren Wilson in dramatic final to land huge £350k payday – updates
SHAUN MURPHY took home the biggest prize of his career to win the Masters on Sunday night at Ally Pally.
Murphy overcame world champ Kyren Wilson to become Masters champion for the second time in his career.
The Magician raced into a 6-2 lead in the afternoon session, but The Warrior fought back in the evening to make the showpiece match 8-7 after 15 frames.
But Murphy held firm despite Wilson’s heart to secure a 10-7 win and the biggest payday of his illustrious career (£350,000).
Earlier in the tournament, The Magician hit a stunning 147 during his semi-final triumph over Mark Allen.

Shaun Murphy vs Kyren Wilson
It's back! Shaun Murphy's break-off is delayed by a wasp for the second time this week. The wasp community clearly unsettled by his Disco Inferno entrance.
"Just don't do anything," says the referee, who perhaps moonlights as a wasp specialist.
Shaun Murphy vs Kyren Wilson
Rob 'the talker' Walker introduces the players in his… signature fashion.
"Two players at the peak of their powers, hoping to harness this incredible crowd to lift this incredible title…"
Shaun Murphy walks out in all black to the song Disco Inferno by the The Trammps. Kyren Wilson follows shortly after to… well, Shazam tells me it's Chase & Status.
We're ready to go with Murphy breaking off.
“Battle of Northamptonshire”
Yes, welcome to the Battle of Northamptonshire.
Not my words, Lynn. The words of world champion and 2025 Masters finalist Kyren Wilson.
Wilson, from Kettering, is bidding to win his first Masters title having fallen to Mark Allen back in the 2018 final.
Murphy, whose sole triumph in the tournament came a decade ago when he defeated Neil Robertson in the final, is from Harlow.
Google tells me that’s a quick 80-minute drive via the M11 and A14. Scenic.
On tomorrow’s final against Shaun Murphy, Wilson said: “Yeah, let’s hope he doesn’t make another maximum because I think he’ll be on for a fortune!
“Shaun has played incredible all week. It’s a battle of Northamptonshire in the final, so I’m looking forward to it.”
Records
Shaun Murphy wasn't in the commentary box for last night's semi-final between Judd Trump and Kyren Wilson.
But you would imagine that he was happy to see the world champion win.
It's 29-13 to Trump against Murphy, but it's 10-4 in Murphy’s favour against Wilson including significant wins in the 2020 Welsh Open final, World Championship semi-final and the 2023 Tour Championship final.
Of course, Wilson has upped his game over the last two years, and his recent work with Peter Ebdon is obviously helping his tactical awareness.
Also in his favour, Murphy hasn't actually contested a Triple-Crown Final since losing the 2021 World Championship to Mark Selby.
Afternoon
So here we are then, the final.
We've seen 14 matches, 125 frames, 17 century breaks and one maximum 147 at the 2025 Masters.
Just two remain with a shot at clinching the title with Kyren Wilson and Shaun Murphy preparing to battle it out at Alexandra Palace over two sessions.
We are, of course, up to best-of-19 frames today with the prize fund raised considerably to £350,000 for the winner.
Let's get going!
Here we go
The Masters 2025 final between Kyren Wilson and Shaun Murphy is set to start.

Wilson excited for final
Kyren Wilson is looking forward to the final today, as he posted on social media.
He wrote: "What a feeling walking out to such an incredible crowd last night. Unbelievable!
"Looking forward to today. See you out there!"
Wilson's advice to Brecel
Kyren Wilson has offered some advice to struggling Luca Brecel.
He told Eurosport: "I'm trying to deal with Luca’s chalk.
"Luca won the World Championship with the Pyro. Why not stick with what you won the World Championship with? I don’t understand it.
"If I was being a friend - because I love Luca, he's a great lad - I'd advise him to go back to how he won the World Championships.
"He had a couple of kicks that cost him a couple of frames, so I just can’t get my head around it."
Murphy on 147
Shaun Murphy admitted that his 147 against Mark Allen was one of the best moments of his career.
He told the BBC: "I can't believe it. It was an incredible moment, one of the best of my snooker career.
"I have wanted to make a 147 in one of the BBC events since I was a child.
"I had a great opportunity the other day and totally messed it up.
"I had great support from the crowd, who were absolutely amazing."

Here are the most successful players in the modern era.

Murphy in form
Shaun Murphy hit an incredible 147 - despite being interrupted by the Ally Pally wasp during his frame.
The former world champion is in brilliant form at The Masters and showed his best form ahead of the final.
He produced an emphatic response to going 2-0 down by winning four consecutive frames, hitting a 147 to lead 4-2 before going on to win against Mark Allen.
Murphy, 42, was forced to regain his composure midway through the frame however as the Ally Pally wasp became a nuisance.
When is the final?
The Masters final 2025 between Kyren Wilson and Shaun Murphy will take place today.
The match will start at 1pm but will be split into two sessions.
The winner will be the best of 19 frames, with the second session starting from 7pm at Alesandra Palace.

He last reached the final seven years ago in 2018.
Murphy's law
While Shaun Murphy has won the Masters once before, in 2015.
Murphy toppled Neil Robertson 10-2 in the final that year to win the Masters for his first, and only time.
But can he win it for a second time today? Not long to go now!
Wilson's last Masters final
Kyren Wilson last reached the final of the Masters seven years ago back in 2018.
The Kettering ace could only finish runner up to Northern Irishman Mark Allen on that occasion.
Wilson heads into today's final buoyed by his stunning win over world No 1 Judd Trump last night.
Final countdown
The big day is here as Kyren Wilson takes on Shaun Murphy in the final of the Masters at Alexandra Palace.
The afternoon session kicks off from 1pm an then wraps up with the evening session from 7pm.

"I'm ready for the battle"
Speaking with the BBC following last night's victory over Judd Trump, Kyren Wilson is raring to go ahead of today's Masters final against Shaun Murphy.
On reaching the final: "It feels amazing. I can't believe that that final was seven years ago (his last Masters final in 2018). It doesn't seem that long ago, but a lot has changed with me and my game - so hopefully onto bigger and better things.
"Without sounding cocky, you feel like the man (after winning the World Championship). It doesn't get any better than world champion. So you go to events now and you just feel like the top dog, like a million dollars."
Asked about playing against Shaun Murphy, Wilson added: "I'm really looking forward to it. He's had a fantastic week, he should of had two 147s - not to add salt to the wounds. Poor from him really.
"It's a battle of Northamptonshire. We both grew up in the same area and both have had a lot of influence from Peter Ebdon.
"I've just got to focus on my own game. I can mix it up and do all sorts of styles. I can play quick and score heavy, and I can have a dogged frames. It's not going to be perfect snooker all the time and I'm ready for the battle."
"Judd didn't really turn up tonight"
Six-time world champion Steve Davis on the semi-final clash between Judd Trump and Kyren Wilson: "I think Kyren played great, but Judd didn't really turn up tonight in the way that we expected him to.
"He'll be hugely disappointed."
Seven-time world champion Stephen Hendry added: "Only Judd could tell us what went wrong tonight. It was a very strange performance, especially the way he beat Ding (in the quarter-final).
"I thought he was going to be the man to beat, but you have to say it, he kind of collapsed at the end there."
The final
Ok, so we know Sunday's Masters final 2025 will be between world champion Kyren Wilson and 2005 world champion Shaun Murphy.
It all kicks off at 1pm on Sunday at Alexandra Palace and will be divided into two sessions, with the second starting at 7pm in a best of 19 frames.
"So hard to beat"
Asked about his rivalry with Judd Trump, Wilson said: "He's been so successful over the past couple of years and he is so hard to beat.
"Many years ago he would have got frustrated, played a reckless shot and thrown me in the balls. Now, he's able to take his medicine, play safe and make it difficult for me."
"I had goosebumps"
Kyren Wilson: "Thank you very much. Delighted to make my second Masters final.
"I said to Judd before we were about to break off, I said 'wow, what an atmosphere' I had goosebumps walking down - it was incredible."
Judd Trump 3-6 Kyren Wilson
He's won it in style! Kyren Wilson wins it with the only century break of the semi-final and books his place in tomorrow's Masters final against Shaun Murphy.
Remember, Wilson was the only semi-finalist not to have won this competition. Tomorrow is his chance to put that right!
Judd Trump 3-5 Kyren Wilson (14-43)
That might well have been Judd Trump's last shot of the Masters, folks. World champion Kyren Wilson has raced into a sizeable lead and just has a small group of reds to split. If they go in his favour, this one is done...
Judd Trump 3-5 Kyren Wilson (14-0)
It was good start for Judd Trump, who boosted his 60% long pot success with a tidy red from distance. But he misses the pink on the next shot when looking to get into the back and Wilson arrives at the table to start what could be the last frame of the night…
Judd Trump 3-5 Kyren Wilson
Judd Trump's back is firmly against the wall as Kyren Wilson takes a two-frame lead in this Masters semi-final. Wilson even said a little prayer to the heavens during his break of 85, which was enough to see him move into a 5-3 lead and ONE frame away from tomorrow's final against Shaun Murphy.
"Kyren Wilson looks like he is on a mission to win this huge event as the world champion," said Stephen Hendry.
"He is being more positive in his body language and play."
