report that an immediate move back to Italy is now on the cards for Zirkzee this month.

Juventus are hoping to bring him in and are willing to send Vlahovic the other way.

The Serbian striker has just 18 months left on his contract.

Reports in Italy claim there has been talks over an extension, but they are no closer to an agreement.

Juventus do not want to lose the 24-year-old for free and are looking at "creative ways to benefit" from his exit.

Vlahovic, who joined the Old Lady from Fiorentina for £67m in 2022, has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season.

Meanwhile, Zirkzee has found the back of the net just four times.

But the 23-year-old impressed last term under Thiago Motta at Bologna, who is now the Juventus boss.

As for Zirkzee, his nightmare spell at Man Utd saw him sarcastically cheered off as he was subbed in the 33rd minute against Newcastle.

He headed straight down the tunnel before returning to the bench.

Gary Neville said: "I actually feel sorry for him, I really do.

"I know that he's earning a lot of money but there's a human being in there that's basically being cheered off by his home fans and that is brutal.

"We've not seen that too many times at Old Trafford. 43 years I've been coming here."

Fans did, however, sing his name during the 2-2 draw with Liverpool yesterday.
