Gunners linked to Bees striker
Bryan Mbeumo could be on Arsenal's summer shopping list.
Emirates boss Mikel Arteta is keen on recruiting an out-and-out striker.
Sky Germany say Gunners' chiefs admire the 20-cap Cameroonian.
The 25-year-old joined the Bees from Troyes in 2019.
It's Amad mission!
Amad Diallo says he wants to make history with Manchester United after committing his future to the club until 2030, writes MARTIN BLACKBURN.
The Ivorian, 22, has been rewarded for his performances during a difficult season with a fresh five year deal to replace the one that was due to expire this summer.
Sunsport reported in November that Diallo was in line to treble his £30,000 per week wages under the new terms.
And since then he has got the dramatic late winner in the Manchester derby in December and last week he grabbed an equaliser in the 2-2 draw at Anfield.
Amad said: “I have had some incredible moments with this club already but there is so much more to come.”
Ready, Teddy go for United spree
Teddy Sheringham “wouldn’t be surprised” if old club Manchester United land two major signings this month.
United are in dire need of a shake up given their dismal form so far this term.
Speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest , Sheringham said: “I wouldn’t be surprised to see two big January signings at Manchester United.
“I think Manchester United need to rebuild, but it’s hard to get big names and proper players in the January window.
“I think it’s a time to work in the background and look for players to start next season. I’d like to see big signings but it’s going to be difficult.”
Atletico eye Tyrick as Arsenal & Spurs hover
Tyrick Mitchell is a target for Atletico Madrid along with a host of top Prem clubs, writes JACK ROSSER.
The Crystal Palace left-back is also on the radar of AC Milan, who have a strong English contingent.
Mitchell, 25, is under contract at Selhurst Park until 2027.
And it would take a huge offer to strike a deal for him this month.
The left-back is also admired by Arsenal and Tottenham.
But Palace are keen to keep him around as Oliver Glasner’s side continues to gel.
Mitchell has two England caps and will hope to catch Thomas Tuchel's eye given the worries in his position.
Ben Chilwell has been frozen out at Chelsea.
While Luke Shaw continues to battle injury problems at Manchester United.
Sule-mania sweeps Europe
Kamaldeen Sulemana is being tracked by a host of European clubs, writes JACK ROSSER.
Southampton's club record signing came close to leaving in the summer and could again be on his way out this month.
Ajax, who saw a late move collapse in August, are back in for the winger, but face plenty of competition.
Valencia, Nantes and Wolfsburg are all considering a loan move with an option to buy for the Ghana international.
Sulemana arrived at Saints two years ago for a club-record £22million but has scored just two goals since - both in the same game against Liverpool on the final day of the 2023 season.
Fullkrug 'on list as Marmoush replacement'
West Ham striker Niclas Fullkrug is reportedly on Eintracht Frankfurt's radar - in case Manchester City pounce for Omar Marmoush.
Fullkrug, 31, who has 22 Gemany caps, has had a patchy start to life in the Prem after only arriving from Borussia Dortmund five months ago.
But Sky Germany say Eintracht wold ponder returning him to the Bundesliga.
It follows Sky Italy suggesting last month that Juventus were keen on the ex-Werder Bremen ace.
Villa ace completes Ipswich medical
Jaden Philogene is tipped to finalise his move from Aston Villa to Ipswich by the weekend.
The English winger, 22, has reportedly completed a medical with the Prem strugglers.
Sky Sports believe a fee of around £20million has been agreed for the former England Under-21s star.
Philogene only returned to Villa from Hull last July.
Omar gives green light to Man City
Omar Marmoush has given the thumbs-up to a move to Manchester City, writes MARTIN BLACKBURN.
But Eintracht Frankfurt will play hard ball over their Egyptian forward.
The 25-year-old has agreed in principle to join the English champions, according to reports in Germany.
However his club – who are flying high at home and in the Europa League – want around £67million if they are to part with their prized asset mid season.
And that means the two clubs are far apart in their valuations, with City viewing him more in the £50m bracket.
The Etihad giants always knew it would be a challenge to get Frankfurt to agree to sell when they are going so well.
But he is the man Pep Guardiola wants to breathe new life into a season which nosedived in the final two months of 2024 – so they are determined to get their man.
Marmoush would provide support for striker Erling Haaland.
But he can play anywhere along the front-line and also operates as a Number 10.
New boy Agbadou ready to sparkle
Emmanuel Agbadou looks ready to dazzle after joining Wolves.
The Ivorian central defender, 27, beamed in pictures that looked far brighter than the weather as he was unveiled after switching from Reims for a reported £16.6m.
Agbadou has signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the option for a further 12 months.
Bundesliga clubs queue for Etihad starlet
Five Bundesliga clubs are said to be keen on signing Man City’s rising star James McAtee.
McAtee, 22, spent last season on loan at Sheffield United and has struggled for minutes since his return to the Champions this term.
But according to the Telegraph, a number of top German clubs are keen to offer him an escape route.
They claim Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and Stuttgart are all chasing the attacking midfielder.
McAtee is thought to be keen on an exit.
Kyle wife scraps divorce plan as Saudis eye transfer
EXCLUSIVE: Just last year, Kyle Walker’s long-suffering wife Annie Kilner was preparing for war and telling pals she was considering divorce, writes AMANDA DEVLIN.
But after a cosy Christmas with the Man City star and their children — and amid growing speculation he is being courted for a multi-million-pound move to play in Saudi Arabia — that could all change once again.
Those close to Annie, 33, tell The Sun she has put the brakes on talk of a split and instead moved the City and England defender back into the marital home.
An insider said: “It was just a few months ago that Annie served Kyle with divorce papers, but she’s having second thoughts.
“He’s a top target for the Saudi Arabia clubs and if he decides to take a deal it’ll be life-changing — and not just because of the massive amount of money he’ll be making.”
Any move to the Arab state is still up in the air, but Kyle, 34, is a top target for big-hitting sides including Al Nassr, where Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo is captain.
Deals being mooted by clubs in the oil-rich nation are said to be worth upwards of £20million, with Kyle easily expected to bank £400,000 a week if he chooses to try his luck abroad.
And friends close to Annie said she was "no fool" - having "sought legal advice about the finances last year and knows that the deal in Saudi is worth a lot.
“Annie says it’s not about the cash but keeping their family together, yet his earning potential is something she will have thought about.
Napoli 'agree Billing deal'
Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing appears to be heading to Napoli on loan for the rest of the season.
It's understood the Italian giants will then have a £9m option to buy him.
Liverpool & Chelsea linked with Napoli winger
Georgia hero Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is reportedly being monitored by Liverpool, Chelsea and PSG.
The Athletic suggest the Reds would be prepared to bid if Napoli ever indicated a willingness to consider selling.
The Euro 2024 star, 23, has been with the Serie A giants since 2022.
Black Cats' Le Fee glee
Sunderland hope to finalise the sensational swoop for Roma star Enzo Le Fee in time for him to make his debut in the FA Cup, writes GARY STONEHOUSE.
The promotion-chasing Championship club are on the verge of signing the midfielder, 24, on an initial loan that will become a club-record £23m permanent deal if they win promotion.
The Frenchman jetted to the North East tonight to undergo his medical and reunite with his former Lorient coach Regis Le Bris at the Stadium of Light.
Speaking to the media ahead of Saturday's third round clash with Stoke, Le Bris said: “I can't say anything right now because it's not done.
“This market in particular we spoke a lot about opportunities we could have and the targets are still the same.
“We would like to have a player who knows the system and used to play in this model and are connected with this specific identity.
“This player could fit with that. But I repeat it's not done.
“It's a market with many opportunities, some are possible, some are not.”
Millwall admit Eagles want Esse
Millwall have confirmed Crystal Palace are after 19-year-old frontman Romain Esse - but say he'd cost "significant money".
Lions' boss Alex Neil said of the Eagles' interest: "How far down the line that is, I’m not too quite sure.
“But I think people need to recognise how well we as a club have done by securing Romain on a new contract, which took, by all accounts, a lot of convincing to stay – because he wanted to play football.
"He is now playing football and has certainly been one of our best performers this season."
Neil added: “We don’t want to lose our best players but everyone understands the contract situation surrounding Romain.
"If he does move he will move for significant money which from the club perspective has been brilliant business considering we could’ve lost him in the summer (next summer) for free."
Lens make a spectacle of transfer U-turn
Former Tottenham goalkeeper Pau Lopez has seen a transfer sensationally fall through... just a day after it was officially announced.
The Spaniard, 30, spent 2016-17 season on loan at White Hart Lane behind Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm.
Tottenham rejected the opportunity to sign Lopez permanently and he has since gone on to play for Real Betis, Roma and Marseille, while earning two Spain caps.
Last summer, Lopez signed for Girona on loan from Marseille.
Yesterday it was announced that Lopez's Girona loan would be cancelled, and that he would be heading to Ligue 1 side RC Lens for the remainder of the season.
RC Lens, who are managed by Will Still, recruited Lopez yesterday to be their No.1, after letting former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba join Rennes.
But a Lens statement today said: "While a full agreement had been reached between Racing Club de Lens, Olympique de Marseille and Pau Lopez, the arrival of the Spanish international has been cancelled.
"Girona FC informed Olympique de Marseille today of its firm intention to keep the player until 29 January, an unacceptable condition for Racing, which is thus giving up on this signing."
Diallo extends deal & predicts 'special' future for Utd
Amad Diallo insists Manchester United will build a new golden age.
After agreeing his new contract, he said: “I have huge ambitions in the game and I want to achieve history at Manchester United.
“I have learnt so much since arriving here four years ago; I am very grateful to the coaches and staff who have helped me to develop, and to the fans for driving me forward every day.
“It has been a difficult season for everyone, but I fully believe that we are on the right path and the future is going to be really special.
“I am ready to give everything to help the team and make our supporters proud again.”
Amad becomes the second United player to extend his stay since the turn of the year.
It was revealed last week that a 12 month option on Harry Maguire’s contract has been activated by the Red Devils.
I have Amad dream!
Amad said: “I have had some incredible moments with this club already but there is so much more to come."
Toon eyeing Ramsdale
Newcastle are tracking Aaron Ramsdale, SunSport can reveal, writes EMILLIA HAWKINS.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper is highly likely to leave Southampton if they are relegated at the end of the season.
And it’s put a string of Premier League clubs on red-alert for a player who is still regarded as one of England’s best shot stoppers.
Newcastle are firmly in the market for a new keeper and could try to tempt Southampton with a January bid.
Last month SunSport revealed the Magpies were keen on Burnley’s James Trafford.
But the Championship high-fliers are desperate to keep hold of their players as they plot an immediate return to the Premier League under Scott Parker’s stewardship.
Emery confirms transfer pursuit
Unai Emery has confirmed Aston Villa are keen to strengthen in the transfer window.
Borussia Dortmund's Dutch winger Donyell Malen, 25, is regarded as Villa's top target.
That's partly because Emery is understood to be especially hungry to bring in a forward who can play trough the middle or out wide.
And when asked about possible signings, Emery said: "The club is working on it."
Napoli in for Cherries ace
Napoli are keen on borrowing Bournemouth's Philip Billing.
The Denmark midfielder, 28, has had limited game-time during the Cherries' rise to seventh in the Prem.
Sky Sports say Napoli have made an approach over loaning the ex-Huddersfield ace.
Arsenal winger loaned out for FOURTH time
Brazilian winger Marquinhos has exited Arsenal for a FOURTH loan.
The ex- Sao Paulo starlet, 21, has joined Cruzeiro until the top flight season in his home country ends in December.
Marquinhos had just returned from a temporary stint with Fluminense, having previously been on loan with Norwich and then Nantes.
Dyche sacked
Sean Dyche has been axed by Premier League strugglers Everton - less than three hours before their home FA Cup tie with Peterborough
Coach Leighton Baines and club captain Seamus Coleman will take temporary charge.
The Toffees said in a statement: "Everton Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as senior men's first team manager with immediate effect.
"Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard and Billy Mercer have also left the club.
"The process to appoint a new manager is underway and an update will be provided in due course.
"U18s head coach Leighton Baines and club captain Seamus Coleman will take charge of first-team affairs on an interim basis."
AC odds-on to land Rashford
AC Milan have suddenly become the overwhelming favourites to sign Marcus Rashford.
Arsenal and Tottenham are also rated possible destinations for the Manchester United striker.
But the bookies reckon AC are odds-on to recruit the 27-year-old, with Borussia Dortmund the next best bet.
Then comes a drop to Juventus and PSG, followed by the two London giants.
spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “There has been a large shift in the market surrounding a January move as we’ve slashed his odds for a move to AC Milan from 33/1 to 4/6!
“A move to the Italian giants has been subject to 40% of all bets taken."
WILLIAM HILL ODDS:
AC Milan 4/6
Borussia Dortmund 7/2
Juventus 8/1
PSG 8/1
Arsenal 10/1
Tottenham 12/1
Any Saudi Pro League club 14/1
BAR 16/1
Doak focused after bids
Michael Carrick says Ben Doak is “absolutely fine” at Middlesbrough and is not affected by all the transfer talks.
Liverpool have a recall clause they can invoke on Doak this month and last week rejected £15m offers from Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town for the livewire.
Carrick said: “Absolutely fine. No problems, he just gets on with his work as he has from day one. It suits him here and it’s a good place for him to be.
"He’s enjoying his football, learning, developing and having a great experience with different challenges along the way. Nothing but positive things to say about Ben.”
