But the weather was forecast for nine degrees with cloud and winds.

What turned out to be was a pitch full of fog, making it hard for players at times to even see the yellow match ball.

Blackpool took the lead after three minutes as Ashley Fletcher converted from a cross.

But Sky Sports News' cameras barely caught the moment Fletcher scored past keeper Mark Howard.

One fan said: "Watching this Wrexham game and this fog has to make the V1/V2’s job a nightmare."

Another added: "This fog is getting worst."

One joked: "How did he see where the goal was with all the fog?"

Another said: "Can barely see a thing."

Wrexham did pull level on 24 minutes thanks to star striker Paul Mullin.

The forward celebrated by pulling on a Deadpool mask - paying homage to co-owner Reynolds.

Mullin even had a cameo in the third instalment of the Marvel movie series - playing "Welshpool."
