Diaz won the penalty after being fouled in the penalty area by Van de Beek.

A clumsy challenge from the midfielder resulted in him bringing down the Colombian.

Van de Beek stood on the back of Diaz's left foot, causing his boot to rip off as the winger fell to the floor.

Diaz still attempted a shot despite missing a boot, but slipped as he had no grip wearing just his sock.

Another added: "Take a man out of Manchester but you can never take out the Manchester United in him."
