World Darts Championship LIVE RESULTS: Action ON NOW as Searle goes through while Gary Anderson plays TONIGHT – updates

THE World Darts Championship action is expected to bring even more drama today after Luke Littler broke down in TEARS following his opening win last night.

Teen sensation Littler, 17, started his darts campaign with a superb win over Ryan Meikle - but then had to cut short an interview after becoming emotional at the support he'd been shown.

Two-time PDC World Champion Gary Anderson faces Jeffrey De Graaf tonight and he'll be hoping to join Ryan Searle in the next round following his whitewash against Matt Campbell.

    Brilliant visit from Meikle. 140 leaves him a 116 finish.

    Littler whittles his score down to 110.

    Meikle needs a treble 19 to go. It' doesn't and he'll have to settle for 60.

    Littler then leaves double tops. Meikle gets his 56. He's not being overawed.

    A tidy 173 gets Littler down to 189.

    However, Meikle leaves himself with double tops.

    And he takes his opportunity. Excellent leg and he's broken the Littler throw.

    Maximum from Littler, followed by 136.

    Littler is on 100, after scoring 85.

    Meikle needs 164 to go, but leaves 70.

    Littler checks out 100! First set for him! Brilliant.

  • Littler 2-2 Meikle

    A 180 from Littler sets him up nicely in leg 4.

    But he can't find the treble for a 140. Bit messy from the Nuke.

    Meikle whittles his 156 down to 75, with Luke needing 80.

    And he can't get a double 5 to finish. Littler's looking vulnerable.

    Meikle misses two darts at double 12, giving Littler a let off which he takes advantage of.

    Meikle hits his first max, but Littler then makes it back to back 180s in this leg.

    96 from Littler, and he's on to a finish of 167. Meikle misses a chance at 141, but tidies it up nicely to leave 24.

    Littler can only leave 66. And Miekle leads again with a 14 darter.

    Five perfect darts to start the leg from Littler.

    That's more like it.

    41 then leaves Littler 52, with Meikle narrowing his score down to 126 there's some pressure.

    However, double tops and Littler has his first leg in this championship.

    Meikle's started well. A couple of 100s gets him down to 133.

    Littler's on 290, he's miles out.

    Meikle's 57 leaves 76, he's held himself together well.

    Littler's on 232, as Meikle blows double tops to secure the opening leg.

    Meikle will get another ago and he fluffs it.

    Littler leaves 76 with 94.

    Edgy darts from Meikle, but he holds throw.

    Double 16 would have sank Barney.

    Barney has had the worst leg of this match at the wrong time.

    But Kenny misses six match darts to seal a 32 checkout.

    Barney then scores over a ton to put the pressure on. Then Kenny nails double 4 - finally!

    It took him nine match darts! And there's tears! Great stuff.

    Third dart dagger on a treble gives Kenny 81 - a huge dart for what might've been a terrible go.

    But his 46 on his return is dreadful.

    Barney is on 200 and his 41 means he doesn't have a finish.

    Kenny does, on 146, with Barney then hitting a treble to whittle his score down to 60.

    Kenny scores 100 to put pressure on Barney, who needs double 10 to save it.

    He doesn't and Kenny needs 14, double 16... He goes for the double 8, sets a marker, then misses the third by such a small margin!

    Barney stays in it! He survives two match darts by nailing the double 10.

  • Van Barneveld 1-2 Kenny (1-2)

    Kenny can't finish it - but from 120 he's down to 35 and a nice finish.

    Van Barneveld is on 86, so he needs Kenny to miss.

    The Welshman doesn't! He nails the double 16.

    A 180 from Barney! That leaves him with 86, as Kenny whittles his score down to 243.

    Barney sets up 32, as Kenny scores 140 to leaves 103.

    However, Barney can't finish and leaves 8.

    Kenny can't finish his ton plus checkout - leaving 48

    Double 4 goes, and Barney is off the hook

    Well, well, well.

    Kenny holds firm and takes the opening leg of set four.

    Barney will have to find a break of leg in this set, while holding his own.

    Kenny first to a finish with 161.

    We haven't had a big out in this match, and he won't get one here - with Kenny leaving 68.

    Then Barney can't close 120 - scoring 60.

    Double tops for Barney, for the set, no. Double 10? No he's missed two of those for the set.

    Kenny misses three darts at the double 8! Unreal.

    Barney gets the double 10 and a leg!

    Nowhere through for Kenny, who has to leave 62.

    Biggest dart of the night for Barney, and he find the double 8 to wrap another leg.

    He needed that the Dutch legend.

    Kenny has not been intimidated at all.

    140 leaves 64 to hold on to his throw.

    Then he finds the treble 16, but he can't score the double 8 or the double 4.

    Barney needs double 18, but he can't find it.

    Kenny staggereingly busts, for Barney to sink the double 18 to take the opener in the third set.

    What a response from Kenny!

    A 180, on his throw, then a ton, puts himself in a commanding position.

    Kenny's first to a finish with 125, but Barney's 140 leaves 176. He can't finish, which gives Kenny the chance to set up.

    He does just that, leaving 32. Brilliant stuff.

    A marker on double 16, then hits the 16, but finds the double 8 on his return. Great leg from Kenny.

    That's more like it. Barney with a 180 and a wry smile.

    91 then leaves the Dutch star with 30 to finish, an odd choice. Did he miscount?

    However, it made no difference! He levels up the set on his next go.

    A couple of better visits from Barney.

    He sets up double tops with a 99.

    Kenny needs 150 to go, and an 89 leaves a 61 checkout.

    Finally, with his last dart, Barney gets that double tops. Is this the start of the fight back?

    Kenny's not letting Barney get a foothold in this game.

    He's got the crowd on his side, the Barney Army are in full song, but this is not going according to plan.

    A 140 set up gives Kenny an easy outshot attempt - a 52.

    Barney then cocks up double 2. Five darts missed for him, while Kenny's misses seven for the set.

    Until, finally, Kenny gets over the line. The nerves got to both players there.

    Kenny's thrusts himself down to 66 with a 180.

    Barney needed a ton plus finish, but will have to settle with 88 to finish.

    Kenny misses out on a double tops, which gives Barney the opportunity to nick the leg. And he does with a double 16.

    Barney's a double tops away from a ton plus checkout, so he'll have to settle for it on his return.

    That's if he does return. Can Kenny secure a 97 finish?
