FORMULA 1 world champion Max Verstappen has announced he is expecting a baby with partner Kelly Piquet.
The Red Bull driver, 25, confirmed the news on social media on Friday morning.
Speaking on Instagram, Verstappen, who claimed his fourth successive world title last month, said: "Mini Verstappen-Piquet on the way ❤️.
We couldn’t be happier with our little miracle 💫."
Verstappen has been in a relationship with Kelly, daughter of three-time F1 world champion Nelson Piquet, for four years.
The pair met in 2016 - bonding over having fathers who were F1 drivers - with Verstappen's father Jos having raced in the sport for more than 100 races.

Love blossomed in 2020 and they soon moved in together in a £13million Monaco mansion overlooking the Med.
Kelly previously dated former F1 driver Daniil Kvyat and has a daughter - born in 2019 - with the Russian.
