CRISTIANO RONALDO has fired a withering four-word response after Rafael van der Vaart revealed why he never saw the legend naked.

Ronaldo, 39, and the 41-year-old were Real Madrid team-mates for a year until the now-retired Dutchman joined Tottenham in 2010.

"But his training in the gym, food, sleep. For him that was more important than training extra hard.

"Ronaldo was so unbelievably selfish, if we won 6-0 and he did not score, he was not happy. When we lose but he scored twice, it'd be alright!"

Van der Vaart never won anything with Ronaldo, who conquered his first of many pieces of silverware with Real in 2010 by claiming the Copa del Rey.

And the Portugal icon replied to VDV's comments in a brutally short manner.

Van der Vaart's quirky quotes were shared on a Portuguese Instagram account.

And with Ronaldo seemingly spotting the post, he chipped in with: "Who is this guy?"
