BRIGHTON loanee Valentin Barco’s home has been burgled days after his engagement to girlfriend Yaz Jaureguy.
Last week Yaz published a video of her saying "Yes" as she showed the Argentinian 20-year-old going down on one knee to propose after a whirlwind romance.
But overnight she used her Instagram to reveal the burglary and shared pictures revealing they had returned home from a romantic dinner to find it had been ransacked.
The break-in occurred at their new home in Seville, where Barco is currently plying his trade after being loaned by Brighton in his first season at the Premier League club.
Yaz, who started dating the footballer in December last year, wrote alongside a photo showing emptied drawers and clothes strewn across their living room floor: "Arriving home and finding it has been ransacked like this.
"Coming to a country full of dreams and not being able to live at ease. All very strange. Don’t even trust your shadow."

Yaz also shared appearing to show intruders leaving the house with suitcases.
She went on to claim two male intruders were responsible and hinted it could be an inside job, although she didn’t name names.
She said: "Obviously we’ve got cameras.
"Two men got in from the house next door, they spent 50 minutes inside and left 10 minutes before we arrived.

"The strange thing is only an employee knew our movements and the only possible entry point and he left seven minutes before the intruders entered.
"We’ve already reported the break-in to police and hope it gets resolved."
The couple were left in despair just days after Barco proposed to Yaz following one year together.
The former Boca Juniors player signed a four-and-a-half-year with Brighton in January but was loaned to Sevilla for the 2024/25 season in August.
Barco, who made his debut for Argentina's senior side on March 23 in a friendly against El Salvador, has failed to make much of an impression at the LaLiga side.
Yaz, who began modelling aged 18 and has 133,000 Instagram followers, tattooed Barco’s name on her collarbone earlier this year - with the Brighton loanee reciprocating the gesture.
They showed off pictures of their "his and hers" tattoos before going public with the news they had got engaged.
