  • Haydon Pinhey beats Gerard Greene

  • Haydon Pinhey (ENG) 0-9 Gerard Greene (NIR)

Pinhey opts to open up the pack early here.

He evidently does not want to get drawn into a game of safety.

Greene is the one who takes advantage with a fantastic long cut.

Chance for him to put himself in a strong position in the frame.

  • Vladislav Gradinari beats Long Zehuang

  • Long Zehuang (CHI) 3-1 Vladislav Gradinari (MOL)

The fans are getting restless as we have only seen four balls potted at the halfway stage of the game.

This pair may be looking to set their eyes on that low-score record from the other evening.

Zeheung slightly clips the red and the referee picks the white up and awards it to his opponent for a 'ball in hand' shot.

Understandably, Zeheung complains and they have to check the footage and the decision is reversed.

  • Long Zehuang (CHI) 0-0 Vladislav Gradinari (MOL)

There is another six matches this evening after this one.

It seems an evenly-matched game this one.

The under 16 champion, Vladislav Gradinari, will be looking to continue to make a name for himself in this tournament.

  • Allan Taylor beats Joe O'Connor

  • Joe O’Connor (ENG) 39-54 Allan Taylor (ENG)

O'Connor adds 35 before missing a long yellow.

That also sees the real end of his chance of progessing to the last 32.

Taylor is going to knock the hometown hero out here.

  • Joe O’Connor (ENG) 4-54 Allan Taylor (ENG)

Taylor put himself in the perfect position until he missed a relatively easy pot into the middle.

With three and a half minutes remaining, O'Connor is at the table to see if he can make lightning strike twice in two rounds.

He won his game yesterday at the death after spending most of the frame trailing by some distance.

  • Joe O’Connor (ENG) 4-28 Allan Taylor (ENG)

Taylor has edged himself into a comfortable lead.

It piles the pressure on O'Connor who will be wary that time is of the essence in this one.

A poor safety has let him in with the table quite open, terrible positioning ends the break and it is a huge chance missed by the man who could walk home from here.

  • Joe O’Connor vs Allan Taylor

Now we have the hometown hero in action.

Big support for Joe O'Connor on home soil.

Allan Taylor is playing the player and the crowd this evening.

  • Martin O'Donnell beats Xiao Guodong

  • Xiao Guodong (CHI) 17-74 Martin O’Donnell (ENG)

O'Donnell is in complete control of this frame now.

He was given a glimmer of a chance and took it with gratitude.

At this stage of the game being control of the clock is as useful as the points he is adding.

  • Xiao Guodong (CHI) 17-8 Martin O'Donnell (ENG)

O'Donnell is known to be a slow player in the normal format of the game of snooker.

With Xiao already in the lead, he needs to start potting if he is going to stand any chance of coming back in this.

O'Donnell is left a chance and pots the long red, following up with the pink as we reach the halfway stage of the game.

  • Kreishh Gurbaxani beats Xu Si

  • Xu Si (CHI) 30-47 Kreishh Gurbaxani (IND)

What a match that turned into.

Gurbaxani had a 47 point lead until he left Xu on with one and a half minutes remaining.

The Chinese player came close, he had got to 30 before rattling a red trying to hurry his pots.

    Good contest.

  • Xu Si (CHI) 0-0 Kreishh Gurbaxani (IND)

It takes four minutes for the first pot of the game.

The crowd greets the pot with a huge cheer.

With the pack well broken up, this is a massive chance for him to cement his place in the next round.

  • Robbie Williams beats Alfie Burden

  • Robbie Williams (ENG) 37-23 Alfie Burden (ENG)

With three minutes to play, this is finely poised this one.

Williams is struggling with his cueing as if the crowd are getting to him.

They have been shouting 'Robbie, Robbie, give us a song' for a while now.

Robbie Williams pots a long red, leaving himself on the black, offering a real chance of closing this match out.

  • Robbie Williams (ENG) 0-0 Alfie Burden (ENG)

Alfie looked good in the previous round and should give a good account of himself here.

He won't be put off by the rowdy crowd enjoying their first alcoholic drinks of their lives.

The camera keeps panning onto the main culprit, he looks like the kind of person who shouts these obscenities at the TV when he sat at home alone gaslighting girls on Tinder.

  • Elliot Slessor beats Mark Joyce

  • Elliot Slessor 52-21 Mark Joyce

A missed long pot by Joce allows Slessor to add to his score.

More importantly, it allows him to control the clock too.

He should advance to the next round from here.

  • Elliot Slessor 8-0 Mark Joyce

Slessor holds a couple of records in this season's tournament.

The lowest agreggate win of 8 and the lowest winning score of 7, not sure he will be proud of those.

However he gets the scoring going with a good long red and follows it up with a colour to emulate those previous scores already.

  • Liam Davies beats Gary Wilson

  • Gary Wilson (ENG) 23-0 Liam Davies (WAL)

Wilson is taking his chances when they come along.

Davies is taking the long pots on more but when he misses, he is leaving easy pots for Wilson.

We are at the halfway stage, plenty of time to play.

  • Liam Pullen beats Zak Surety
