In all, we've got 16 matches tonight.

  • MURPHY WINS! Shaun Murphy 69-13 Sean O’Sullivan

O'Sullivan conceded with half a minute left.

But the Londoner, 30, was already smiling in resignation long before that.

  • Latest: Shaun Murphy 60-13 Sean O’Sullivan

Murphy looks to be romping away with this - but O'Sullivan has wasted big opportunities.

With 90 seconds remaining, the outsider blew his last serious chance to fight back from 52-13.

  • Latest: Shaun Murphy 10-5 Sean O'Sullivan

Murphy has had a lot to say over the past 24 hours.

Now he's got 10 minutes to let his cue do the talking.

Outsider O'Sullivan wasted an early opening - and now Murphy is in, with the balls well placed.

  • Shock result

    Liam Pullen take a bow.

The 19-year-old sends Jimmy Robertson home 21-13.

Pullen took charge early and Robertson then missed a chance to get back into the match with a mid-range red.

He then played some strong safety shots and the experienced man cannot mount a late comeback.

  • Thriller

What a match. Farakh Ajaib will be kicking himself.

He is 29-23 ahead but then pots the cue ball.

Bulcsu Revesz punishes the mistake and then plays defensive to wind the clock down to win 35-23.

  • Robbie Williams marches on

Both players making awful errors on routine reds at the beginning of the game.

The fast-paced format is clearly getting to them amid loud gasps from the crowd.

Michael Holt is 44-0 down and is racing around the table.

A fan shouts "you can do this" and he replies "I'm not sure I can".

And Holt turns out to be correct as he falls 44-30.

  • Ford drives on

Before the match, Tom Ford joked: "I'm not looking forward to getting out there as I don't like the event.

"It's a good event to have but everyone's shouting abuse at you and things like that.

"It's an experience none of us like. If anyone says they like it, they are lying.

"I'm from Leicester, it is everyone I know shouting at me.

Ford would have enjoyed that one though, beating Xing Zihao 69-31.

  • Future star is born

Remember the name = Vladislav Gradinari

The European Under-16 champion is through as he beats Daniel Wells 52-2.

  • Women's champion wins

What a moment for this year's women's world champion Bai Yulu.

She has knocked out Jamie Clarke 47-35.

The Chinese superstar looks absolutely thrilled.

Reanne Evans says: "She was born to play snooker. Her long game is absolutely amazing."

  • Dott through

2018 runner-up Graeme Dott defeats Ben Mertens 56-40.

  • Local hero out

Leicester-born star Ben Woollaston has been dispatched by Alfie Burden.

A brilliant break of 67 does the job.

  • Wonderkid suffers defeat

At the age of 15, Welsh wonderkid Sion Stuart takes on Martin O'Donnell.

The man nicknamed the 'Minister of Defence' is living up to his reputation but accidentally pots the cue ball.

Stuart goes three points behind at 15-12 then nervously misses an easy red.

    O'Donnell goes onto win 27-12.

  • Demolition job

Incredible display by Zhang Anda, who smashes Hatem Yassen 101-0.

  • Women's No1 out

Mink Nutcharut has lost to Liam Graham 24-13.

The second female player from Thailand out today after Mark Selby sent Baipat Siripaporn home.

  • Next Page

A comfortable win for experienced Jackson Page 37-3 to knock out Manasawin Phetmalaikul.

  • Youngster out

Another teenage in 16-year-old Steven Wardropper takes to the table.

But he is defeated by Lewis Ullah 18-7.

  • Battle of the teens

18-year-old Stan Moody against 16-year-old Riley Powell.

Early nerves from both and at the five minute stage there are just three points on the board, 2-1.

But after a game of safety, there is a late surge in attacking as the clock ticks down.

Moody makes a mistake and there is a chance for Powell.

He wins it 14-11 by potting the blue with just ONE SECOND remaining.

  • Impressive from Selby

Great performance from Mark Selby as he sees off former women's world champion Baipat Siripaporn.

She applauds Selby as he wraps up a 85-17 victory.

  • The Rules

If you were not with us yesterday, here is a reminder of the Shoot Out rules:

    • Each frame lasts a maximum of 10 minutes.
    • Shot clock stops players from wasting time.
    • The first five minutes of the frame = 15 seconds per shot.
    • The second five minutes of the frame = 10 seconds per shot.
    • Five-point penalty (or value of pink or black if attempted) for failing to play a shot within the allocated time.
    • Players must hit a cushion with any ball or pot a ball with every shot.
    • All fouls give the opponent the ball in hand.
    • Similar to pool, players "lag" for break-off with white played from the baulk line off the top cushion.
    • The nearest to the baulk cushion wins the lag.
    • A blue ball shoot-out settles tied matches with players aiming to pot blue off its spot from within the "D" to a top pocket.
    • Flukes do not count on the final blue.

He revealed: "There'll be a celebration somewhere, whether it is Dubai with my brother, Hong Kong with my girlfriend.

"I need to figure out whether I go to Dubai or Hong Kong for a few days, then figure out what I'm going to do for the next month before the Masters [which begins on January 12]."

  • Comeback King

Joe O’Connor beat Sanderson Lam 46-44 in a thrilling contest last night.

Lam accidentally potted the white and handed O'Conner a slim chance at victory.

He was trailing 44-13 with just one minute and 40 seconds to spare but held his nerve for a stunning comeback victory.

After the match, O'Conner said: "I thought let me get a few blacks in before I even think about winning the frame. Luckily it went my way.
