Players Championship Darts Finals 2024 LIVE RESULTS: Luke Littler LOSES thrilling final to Luke Humphries – updates

LUKE LITTLER has lost the Players Championship final to Luke Humphries in what was a thrilling spectacle.

Littler defeated Mike De Decker 10-3 in his quarter-final earlier on Sunday, hitting THREE bullseyes in the stunning win. And he followed that up by beating Ross Smith in the semis 11-9.

But Luke Humphries was just too good in the final, beating Littler 11-7, despite some massive checkouts from the 17-year-old.

    Huybrechts then checks out on double 4 to finally end the leg.

  • Vincent van der Voort forced to undergo emergency surgery

    Vincent van der Voort has cast doubt on his appearance at the World Championship qualifier tournament after he was forced to undergo emergency surgery to remove his appendix last Tuesday.

    It comes with the Dutchman due in Wigan on Monday to in the final qualifying tournament for the World Darts Championship.

    He told : "Sunday I was already suffering quite a bit and Monday it only got worse.

    "I went to the hospital on Tuesday and before I knew it I had to undergo surgery for acute appendicitis."

    He currently ranks 66th in the world rankings.

    Humphries said after beating German No 2 Clemens 6-2: “Every game you play now is cut-throat.

    “If you rest on your laurels you will face defeat.

    “And I think we’ve got to step up and start working harder, because if you don’t, there are other players that will take your place.”
