What is the America's Cup?
The America's Cup - known as the 'Auld Mug' is a series of races between two sailing yachts.
The race is comprised of two teams, with the first the current holder of the trophy.
The second team go through a qualification tournament - this year the 2017 Louis Vuitton Cup - to earn their right to take on the holders.
When is the 2017 America's Cup and where will it be held?
The 2017 edition of the America's Cup will take place between June 17 and June 27, 2017.
But first the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Qualifiers & Challenger Playoffs will be held from May 26-June 12.
The series of races will take place in Great Sound, Hamilton, Bermuda.
Bermuda beat off competition from San Francisco, Chicago and San Diego for the tournament.
Who is taking part in the 2017 America's Cup?
This year's holder goes to Golden Gate Yacht Club's racing team - Team Oracle USA.
The American team famously came from 8-1 behind to win 9-8 - thanks to the heroics of British star Ben Ainslie.
Ainslie himself will have the chance to take part, should his Land Rover Ben Ainslie Racing team win the 2017 Louis Vuitton Cup.
Elsewhere in the 'qualification' competition, teams from New Zealand, France, Japan, Sweden and the USA.
