Luke Littler reckons he's finally getting used to the new-found fame that he earned after bursting onto the scene at the World Championships last year.

He said: "The World Championship changed me, changed my family, but now the months have gone on and I'm just getting used to it all.

"I'm going to have to get used to it for a very long time.

"This is one of the ones I wanted to win. Obviously my major record isn't the best so it's OK now. I just wanted to come here, go deep and it just shows them I'm still here.

Littler's pre-match meal

Martin Lukeman was flabbergasted to see Luke Littler's relaxed approach to the Grand Slam final.

Lukeman couldn't believe that the youngster was chowing down on curry and sweets before heading out to sink him 16-3 in front of a rowdy crowd in Wolverhampton.

Speaking after his defeat, Lukeman said: "He is a joke, that is how good he is, absolutely ridiculous. He has a Boost, a meal deal, a curry and walks up there and smashes me like that.

"98 per cent of the players down there are doing what they do or whatever. But he has just had a curry, a Boost and a couple of those little half pink and half white sweets - Squashies - for his half-time."

Lukeman's Littler prediction

Luke Littler reckons he can break the record set by MVG and Phil Taylor.

But Martin Lukeman is CONVINCED that the kid can do it.

Yesterday's defeated finalist gushed about his teen opponent after his defeat.

He said: "He's just different, man, if he gets his head on, forget about Michael van Gerwen's records, he is going to beat Phil Taylor's records.

"If he keeps his head right, stays away from drink and girls or whatever, that boy is going to go very, very far. He will break records ridiculously."

Littler chasing Phil Taylor

Luke Littler has backed himself to break the records set by the likes of Michael van Gerwen and Phil Taylor.

The Nuke added yet another trophy to his cabinet last night with his trashing of Martin Lukeman.

And when asked if he could reach the heights of MVG and Taylor, Littler backed himself to do just that.

If I want it, then I should get it.

But it's going to take quite some years to pick up the amount of trophies, not only what Michael has got, but also Phil Taylor.
