A STEWARD was unexpectedly serenaded by footie fans due to his resemblance to darts superstar Michael van Gerwen.
Morecambe and Chesterfield's League Two clash made headlines last month as a whopping seven goals were scored in a pulsating match at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
But footage of fans serenading a bald steward has gone viral nearly two weeks after the match.
Videos of supporters singing "Ohh Michael van Gerwen" to the tune of The White Stripes' 2003 hit' Seven Nation Army' have spread like wildfire.
The steward couldn't help but see the funny side of the comparison, smiling as fans belted out their chant and eventually raising his arms in the air.
Darts and footie fans couldn't help but comment on the clips, with one saying on X with a laughing emoji: "Brilliant."
