A GIANT iguana halted Tommy Haas's clash with Jiri Vesely in farcical scenes at the Masters 1000 in Miami.
After Haas slowly approached the huge lizard, officials were tasked with getting rid of the unwanted intruder.
And after attempting to grab the creature's tale from behind, it slipped off the ledge and scuppered across the court in the beaming sunlight.
A number of staff were called upon to deal with the situation but their attempts saw them chasing the iguana all over the court.
After being knocked off of one score board, the reptile ran to the opposite corner and perched himself on the other scoreboard.
But following a wild goose chase, the iguana was eventually ushered away after being caught by the tail.
Play then resumed and Vesely went on to beat his German opponent 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 7-5.
