    • The final will take place on Sunday, November 10.
    • The entire event takes place at the South New City National Fitness Centre.
    • Session times in the early rounds are at 1.30am, 6.30am and 11.30am (all GMT).
  • Why was The Rocket’s game delayed by an hour?

Ronnie O’Sullivan’s match against Mink Nutcharut at the International Championship was delayed due to safety concerns stemming from the size of the crowd in Nanjing.

The Rocket secured a 6-3 victory over the women’s world number one, overcoming a tense moment when Mink rallied and gained momentum mid-match.

The sheer number of spectators eager to watch O’Sullivan meant that the preceding match on the main table in the morning session had to be cut short, causing the main event to start nearly an hour late.

World Snooker Tour shared on social media: “Due to the amount of spectators, for safety reasons the afternoon session has been delayed until 2:50 pm.”

He will face He Guoqiang on Monday for a place in the last 32 of the competition.

  • O’Sullivan survives scare

Ronnie O’Sullivan faced a significant challenge as he narrowly avoided losing to a female opponent for the first time in his 32-year professional career.

Despite establishing a 4-1 lead, O’Sullivan’s performance lacked conviction, particularly after a nearly hour-long delay to seat fans eager to see the snooker legend in action.

Nutcharut fought back fiercely, winning the sixth and seventh frames to narrow the gap to 4-3 in the best-of-11 match. However, O’Sullivan found his form and turned the tide, sealing the victory and avoiding an unexpected early exit.
