Inside an unlikely friendship
Ronnie O'Sullivan first met met Jackie Chan during his recent trip to Asia.
But the pair are surprisingly close pals and talk on FaceTime regularly.
The Rocket was presented with a bouquet of flowers by the Kung Fu icon last Friday while in Macau.
Xintong's comeback
After serving his match-fixing ban Zhao Xintong has been named as one of 16 elite amateurs to take part in the UK Championship qualifying rounds in Leicester between November 16-21.
Should he progress to the main draw at York Barbican, he could face the likes of reigning world champion Kyren Wilson, world No1 Judd Trump or Ronnie O’Sullivan.
Match-fixer to return
Zhao Xintong, who was at the centre of last year’s match-fixing storm, is set compete in UK Championship qualifying this month.
In June 2023, Xintong was one of ten Chinese players charged with match-fixing offences by an independent World Professional Billiards and Snooker association (WPBSA) disciplinary commission.
He was given a two-year and six-month suspension and ordered to pay £7,500 in costs.
This ban was reduced following early admissions and his plea of guilty to one year and eight months – and that ban expired at the start of September.
None of the other nine disgraced stars have served the full length of their suspensions.
