KYLE WALKER has lifted the lid on his surprise pre-match routine.

The Manchester City and England star revealed he eats the same meal before every game.

Walker loves to tuck into spaghetti bolognese on the eve of a huge clash.

But he makes a surprise twist to the classic dish, telling his : "Spaghetti bolognese with mushrooms and pesto. Try it, game changer."

Fans have questioned the six-time Premier League's taste-buds, with one saying: "Italy is screaming."

Another added: "That is a culinary crime against Italian culture."

Walker also revealed that his habits have switched down the years, explaining: "My routine changed when I was younger. I would eat loads on the night before the game then loads the day of the game.

"I thought that is going to see me through the game.

"But you get to know that the meal you are eating on the day of the game is nothing.

"It is just to make you feel good because it cannot turn into energy quick enough.

"So now I just have a bowl of rice pudding or something like that."

Walker also told fans that Harry Maguire's go-to meal is lasagne and the Manchester United star accompanies it with plenty of side salad that he "drowns in vinegar".
