  • FT: Wolves 1-2 Man City

More questions will be raised about the standard of Premier League officials.

By the letter of the law, Bernardo Silva was affecting the actions of Jose Sa where he was stood but even after going to the monitor, the referee allowed the goal.

Wolves can feel hard done by, once again we so no consistency from the referees at this level.

  • Wolves 1-2 Man City

90+5. VAR reviewed the goal and sent the referee to the monitor.

Bernardo Silva was stood in front of the keeper in an offside position.

Stuart Atwell decides he was not interferring and allows the goal.

Heartbreak for Wolves and their fans so late in the game.

  • VAR review in progress

  • 90+4. GOAL - Wolves 1-2 MAN CITY

John Stones jumps to meet a corner to head home a late winner.

  • Boss talks about Chelsea challenge

The Liverpool manager spoke about the task at hand at Anfield this afternoon:

If you want to achieve something we need to be stable defensively, we have done that so far. Now we face even better players. Chelsea, like United, have a lot of great players and we have to control that as a team but we also have to create our own chances too. Good thing is we have players who can score. An interesting game.

  • Egyptian King with point to prove

Facing his former employers is always a big game for Mohamed Salah.

Having failed to impress at Stamford Bridge, the Egyptian winger is always focussed on showing The Blues what they let slip through their fingers.

It will be a big task for Chelsea to keep him quiet this afternoon and could be pivotal in whether they come away from Anfield with any points.

  • City struggling with Portuguese wall

With only twenty minutes remaining at Molineux, the visitors have been dominating since their equaliser.

However, Pep Guardiola's side are struggling to find a way past Jose Sa in the Wolves goal.

There is still plenty of time for either team to find a winner but the game is finely poised at 1-1.

Wolves replaced Andre with ex-City midfielder Tommy Doyle at the break, while Pep made Savinho and Doku switch wings.

But City continued to bang their heads against an Old Gold brick wall as Jose Sa and Co. stood firm before Pep played his 'Joker,' sending on Phil Foden for Doku.

  • Chelsea starting XI:

Reece James makes a comeback for The Blues after injury and will be tasked with shutting down Mohamed Salah.

Tosin comes into the back four and both Caicedo and Lavia feature in the midfield, having both turned down Liverpool's advances in the transfer market.

  • Liverpool starting XI:

The big news is that both Mac Allister and Diaz only make the bench after jetting all around the world for international duty.

Jones and Gakpo replace them while Kelleher stands in for the injured Alisson in goal.

  • Big chance for visitors to capitalise

Liverpool will miss keeper Alisson greatly for the visit of Enzo Maresca’s side.

It offers a real chance for the West London outfit to make a statement today in their pursuit of Champions League qualification.

The visitors will need to take the game to Slot’s side, with the best form of defence being attack.

  • Chelsea team news

Chelsea are without Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella after they both picked up their fifth yellow cards of the season in their last outing against Nottingham Forest.

Cucurella’s absence could open the door for Renato Veiga to take on the unenviable task of keeping Salah quiet at Anfield this afternoon, while Axel Disasi and Tosin Adarabioyo will scrap it out to replace Fofana in the backline.

More positive news for The Blues is Reece James having returned to training after damaging his hamstring in pre-season and Danish keeper Filip Jorgensen has recovered from a slight niggle picked up on the international break.

For the fifth time in their last seven top flight games City have given their opponents a goal of a start.

But away-day specialist Josko Gvardiol rode to the rescue with a stunner - with five of his six City goals coming on the road.

Wolves have defended bravely and in numbers, with comeback 'keeper Jose Sa in top form to deny City on at least two occasions.

But it looks a long 45 minutes ahead for O'Neil's battlers.

  • Liverpool teams news

Liverpool are without first-choice keeper Alisson today after he limped off against Crystal Palace and is rumoured to be out until after the November international break, Caoimhin Kelleher will step in for the Brazilian.

Harvey Elliott is still on the sidelines after fracturing his foot and there has been no update on the condition of Federico Chiesa, who if fit would have a place on the bench.

Slot said he is also dealing with some issues after the international break so it would not be a shock to see some of the South American contingent not starting.

Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo are more than capable of deputising for Alexis Mac Allister and Luis Diaz if that is the case.

Level at the break after Josko Gvardiol cancelled out Jorgen Strand Larsen's opener.

  • 33 - GOAL! Wolves 1-1 MAN CITY

City are level after Josko Gvardiol gets tired of passing the ball around the edge of the Wolves penalty area.

The Croatian controls the ball before lashing it into the top corner from outside the box.

Jose Sa made a brilliant save earlier from Bernardo Silva but he had no chance with that one.

All those who predicted a towering Norwegian would take less than 10 minutes to break the deadlock take a bow…

Unless you assumed that man would be Erling Haaland!

Instead, Jorgen Strand Larsen has set the cat amongst the pigeons by firing Wolves into an early lead.

City are dominant but Wolves have carved out the better chances and only Ederson's brilliance prevented Semedo doubling their lead.

  • Tough start for Haaland

  • 7 – GOAL! WOLVES 1-0 Man City

Is a shock on the cards at Molineux?

Wolves complete their first pass in the attacking third of the match as Nelson Semedo fires a dangerous ball into the box.

It evades the Manchester City defenders to find Jorgen Strand Larsen, who calmly slots the ball past Ederson.

  • From Graeme Bryce at Molineux

On paper this was the biggest mis-match of the season as Pep Guardiola's quadruple title-winners targeted winless Wolves.

Gary O'Neil's rock-bottom side had lost SIX of their seven games, conceding a league-high 21 goals - five of those against Brentford before the international break.

Jose Sa came in for the injured Sam Johnstone.

Could O'Neil repeat last year's unlikely victory over City?

Or would Erling Haaland and Co enjoy 90 minutes of shooting practice against a side who hadn't kept a clean sheet for 10 months?

  • KO Wolves 0-0 Man City

The action is underway at Molineux in today's first Premier League match.

  • Haaland vs Wolves

Erling Haaland has scored eight goals in four Premier League appearances against Wolves.

Those strikes have come at an average of a goal every 40 minutes.

However, the Norwegian striker has scored just once at Molineux for Manchester City.
