Slovan Bratislava vs Man City preview

On paper, it looks as though this could be a cricket score as Premier League champions Manchester City travel to face Slovan Bratislava.

Slovan Bratislava started life in the Champions League with a chastening 5-1 defeat to Celtic in their opener, conceding a whopping 17 efforts on goal and an xG of 3.56.

They have since recovered to win three matches on the bounce in their domestic league and scoring 12 goals in the process, but it doesn't bode well that their entire squad is valued at roughly half of City's record signing.

    Given Slovan Bratislava were unable to prevent Celtic from knocking five past them in their Champions League opener, it looks highly unlikely that they'll limit Manchester City to one or two this week.

    The Cityzens haven't been at their brilliant best in attack, but if things click then they should be more than capable of netting a handful. So we're backing the visitors to score Over 4.5 Goals at 2/1.

    If Manchester City are going to score a bunch, then you best believe striker Erling Haaland will net the majority of them.

    The Norwegian, 24, has scored 10 goals in eight appearances this season - including two hat-tricks and a brace. He'll have his sights set on winning the Champions League Golden Boot again and this looks the ideal opportunity to get a flurry of goals on the board.
