Four Barcelona stars feature among the nine football players in the top 10
CRISTIANO RONALDO has already been crowned as the best footballer on the planet on a number of occasions, and he rules the roost on social media too.
The Real Madrid superstar has amassed over 140million followers on Twitter and Instagram combined, putting him way out in front of any athlete in the world.

10. Zlatan Ibrahimovic - Twitter: 4.36m / Instagram: 23.2m (Combined: 27.5million)
'He does what he wants' - Not only on the pitch but social media too. Remember the day Zlatan Ibrahimovic signed for Manchester United? That was the day he decided to make the announcement himself before the club officially did! He is not the most active across social media but when he does tweet he makes it memorable.

The golden boy of Colombian football exploded onto the scene in the 2014 World Cup after his heroic performances took Colombia to their first ever quarter finals. The 25-year-old who currently plays for Real Madrid has picked up even more followers through sponsor Adidas.
