ENGLAND captain Harry Kane put his acting skills to the test in a hilarious new breakfast advert.

The 31-year-old recently agreed to become the face of , a German-British porridge company based in Munich.

In his first campaign for the brand, which is shot like hit TV series The Office, he stars as the "new boy" at the firm.

The 90-second mockumentary advert features Kane as a confused colleague on his first day at the office.

He arrives at the 3Bears headquarters and introduces himself to co-owners Tim Nichols and Caroline Nichols.

The Bayern Munich star attempts to speak to baffled workers, but they do not respond.

Kane then puts a football-shaped mug on the table before asking: "So I guess breakfast is included?"

Discussing his new shareholder role with the company, England's all-time top goalscorer said: "As an athlete, breakfast is the most important meal for me, and of course, I’m really conscious of what I put in my body, as well as the bodies of my family.

"When I discovered 3Bears, I loved that they took oats to another level. 3Bears oats are the perfect choice to fuel the body, they're a great source of natural protein, fibre and complex carbs.

"And, all that with natural ingredients and no bad stuff added. So that’s why partnering with 3Bears feels like a natural fit."

Kane has been smashing records on the pitch since joining Bayern Munich last summer.

He became the quickest player to reach 50 Bundesliga goals earlier this month, hitting the target in just 35 appearances.

Harry Kane's favourite England goals

Kane broke the record previously set by Erling Haaland.

The striker has scored 54 goals in 51 outings since joining Bayern.

And he'll be back in Three Lions action next month when Lee Carsley's side take on Greece and Finland in the Nations League.

Golden Boots to Golden Globes?

HARRY Kane isn't the first national sporting legend to try his hand at acting.

But what did The Sun's TV critic Ally Ross make of the record-breaking hitman's latest debut?....

DEAR old Harry Kane arrives at work and is met with nothing but befuddlement and slack-jawed incompetence.

History repeats itself, then.

The first time as a Spurs player, the second time advertising Three Bears porridge, which is dangerous territory for a sportsman.

Off the top of my head, Jack Charlton, Bryan Robson, Ian Botham and Brian Clough all tried to turn us on to the idea of starting the day with Shredded Wheat, but not one of them ever convinced me I wouldn't be much better off eating a deep fried ball of string.

Indeed, Fergie himself, with a gun at my forehead, could not convince me to eat that stuff.

Harry, in fairness, is a gentler, more sympathetic character than some of the above and he delivers his opening line - "I'm Harry, I'm here for my first day." - in exactly the right order with the emphasis on more or less the right words.

The great mystery of this advert are his "workmates." Are they just so overawed by his presence they've been silenced? Or did Three Bears just spend so much on Harry's fee they couldn't afford any speaking roles for the extras?

We may never know. I'm sure Harry, though, will knuckle down, carry the team and then earn a big money transfer to Scott's, just at the exact moment they're beaten to The Porridge of the Year title by Quaker Oats.
