FORMER NBA star Mitchell Wiggins had died at the age of 64.
Shooting guard Wiggins starred for the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers across six seasons in the NBA.
He was the father of Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins.
No details have yet been released on the circumstances of his death.
A released on Friday said: "Today we mourn the passing of former Houston Rockets guard, Mitchell Wiggins.
"Our sincerest condolences go out to his family and friends."

The reported Wiggins died on Monday "surrounded by loved ones".
The also confirmed the news as they shared a picture of the Wiggins family.
A statement on the platform said: "A beloved father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, cousin and friend. May his soul rest in peace.
"His legacy and impact will live on forever!"

He was part of the 1985-86 Rockets team that advanced to the NBA Finals, before losing to Larry Bird and the Boston Celtics in six games.
In 1987, Wiggins received a two-and-a-half year ban from playing in the NBA after he tested positive for cocaine before he was reinstated in the 1989-90 season.
After his NBA career ended in 1992, Wiggins had a successful career in Greece where he earned multiple All-Star nods.
