Sven-Goran Eriksson’s ex Nancy Dell’Olio breaks down in tears at funeral and says ‘a part of my life is gone forever’
SVEN-Goran Eriksson's ex-partner Nancy Dell'Olio has broken down in tears after saying her final goodbye at his funeral - admitting "a part of my life is gone forever".
The former England manager, 76, tragically died on August 26 after suffering from terminal pancreatic cancer.
Nancy, 63, who dated Eriksson for 10 years before they split in 2007, this morning arrived to say goodbye to the "love of her life".
Speaking after the service, she said, while tearing up: "Sven will always be part of my life, as I was part of his life...inside of me he will live forever."
Asked what she will miss the most about Sven, Nancy said: "I will just miss him, I will miss that part of our life...
"When you love someone and someone is gone, part of your life is gone forever."

She wore black leather trousers paired with a black blazer, white blouse, heeled boots and a leopard print coat for the service.
As she entered Fryksande Church in Sven's hometown of Torsby, Sweden, footballing legend David Beckham gave her a warm embrace.
Nancy appeared on Good Morning Britain just two weeks ago, where she revealed her final conversation with long-time lover Sven.
She said: “I just said he was trying to put in the effort to say that he was fine on the phone because most of the time he was not answering or at treatment.

“I always believed there would be some sort of miracle.
“I’m sorry.”
After Sven's death, Nancy shared some unseen photos of herself with him during their time together.
Sven's dad - also named Sven, his children Johan and Lina, and partner Yaniseth Alcides were also pictured at the service today.
