The details emerged after Hogg was led into Jedburgh Sheriff Court in handcuffs following his arrest on Monday.
He had been due to stand trial yesterday over the claims involving Gillian, 37, and also be sentenced after admitting breaches of bail conditions not to approach her.
But the case was put back to November after three new charges were added.

It states he phoned her "at antisocial hours", sent "messages of an alarming and distressing nature" and contacted her despite being asked not to.
Hogg, dressed in a white jumper and blue trousers, spoke only to confirm his name.
The dad of four, from Hawick, Roxburghshire, also faced claims of a fresh bail breach last month.
It's alleged he blocked Gillian's car, preventing her from driving off, and also contacted her on FaceTime calls.
Sheriff Kevin McCarron had told Hogg in July it was "highly unlikely" he would remain at liberty if he breached any court orders.
Yesterday his lawyer Mat Patrick said in court: "There is nothing in the new allegations that allege violence or any threats of violence."
He added that Hogg used Face- Time in a bid "to speak to his kids".
The ex-British Lion was then told by Sheriff Peter Paterson: "It seems part of this may be your desire to see your children. For that reason you are going to be released on bail."
