THE UFC have two dates and venues to decide when and where Conor McGregor fights Michael Chandler.
McGregor was due to make his anticipated return on June 29 in Las Vegas until a toe injury forced him out.
The Irishman has pushed for a rescheduled date in December in Vegas but UFC boss Dana White has rebuffed the demands.
Now former UFC star Chael Sonnen - who is a known troll - claimed January in California is the new plan.
Sonnen said on his : “I think that Conor is sincere that he would like to fight 170-pounds, T-Mobile Arena, December 2024 opposite of Michael Chandler under the unified rules of the Mixed Martial Arts. I believe him.
"An inside scoop that I’m getting is that the UFC wants all of those same things they just want it in January in California.

"Who you gonna believe? I’m sharing what I believe, but that sure sounds close, that sounds like we’re real close here."
McGregor has never fought in California and has been pushing to fight before the end of the year.
But White responded: "We talked, we didn't meet up but we talked.
"He wants to fight so we will figure it out. Not this year, he won't fight this year."

A frustrated McGregor, 36, replied on social media: “Ah Dana. December is the date! Bring the calendar year home with a winning event!
“Come on now, what’s this? I am off to altitude next month to prepare.
“December. Tell Dana and UFC we want December! We deserve December.”
White did later confirm talks for McGregor's return are ongoing - but gave no clues to whether it will be December or January.
He said: "Talked about Conor [McGregor] today too," White continued. "Got Conor news coming up."
