Haye showed tremendous character and bravery as he soldiered on and hobbled around the ring as Bellew searched for the knock out.

But after staying in the fight and being knocked down by Bellew, Haye's trainer Shane McGuigan threw in the towel.

After the gruelling fight, Haye went to hospital for checks on his damaged ankle and may have to have surgery on the injury.
