Brighton vs Manchester United preview

Erik ten Hag's Manchester United travel to the Amex Stadium for a lunchtime kick-off this Saturday.

But they'll arrive as underdogs with the bookmakers despite their victory over Fulham on the opening day of the campaign.

Joshua's Zirkzee struck late to give the Red Devils a much-needed three points and get their 2024-25 campaign off to the best possible start.

Brighton vs Manchester United betting tips and predictions

Kaoru Mitoma to score or assist

Kaoru Mitoma endured a pretty rotten campaign last year having missed a total of 27 Brighton matches through injury. But he's back, and he's back with a bang having opened the scoring against Everton last weekend.

The 27-year-old had double the number of touches in the opposition penalty area and attempts on goal than any of his colleagues - averaging a shot every 21 minutes. Nobody in the entire Premier League could better his three shots on target and only three had a higher XGI (Expected Goal Involvement).

  • Kaoru Mitoma to score or assist at 6/4 with William Hill -

Casemiro to be carded

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro was an extremely busy boy against Fulham last weekend.

The battling Brazilian, 32, made a total of six tackles which was more than any other player on the pitch. He only committed one foul, but that figure will be higher on Saturday away from home against a more potent attacking force.
