Olympics 2024 team mocked for ‘awful’ ‘streaky bacon’ outfits as fans say ‘great, now I want a sandwich’
FANS have been left hungry after taking a long look at the Canadian gymnastics team's tracksuits.
Those getting their teeth stuck into the Olympics from home have likened the warm-up outfits to a tray of uncooked bacon.
Canada's men's artistic all-around gymnasts headed out before their event sporting the pink and red tracksuits.
And the bold design, created by Canadian athletic retailer Lululemon, may have caught the eye in the wrong way.
Canada's team of Rene Cournoyer, William Emard, Zachary Clay, Felix Dolci and Samuel Zakutney had their qualification efforts overshadowed by their bold outfits.
On social media one fan wrote: "We don't call it Canadian bacon for nothing!"

While another added: "I can't un-see that. Also, I'm now craving bacon!"
A third joked: "Great, now I want a sandwich!"
And a fourth slammed: "I love bacon but those outfits are just awful!"
Others even suggested that Lady Gaga's iconic meat dress from the 2010 MTV VMA's was the inspiration for the outfit.

With one writing: "Reminds me of Lady Gaga's 'meat dress' from a few years ago."
And a second joshing: "They made Lady Gaga proud!"
Canada's team managed to qualify for the final despite their tracksuits taking attention away from their efforts in the event.
However, they were unable to secure a podium finish with their score of 245.426 - ultimately finishing in eighth place.
Instead it was Japan who took gold, China securing silver and the United States who snapped up a bronze medal.
