LUKE HUMPHRIES insists he is not jealous of Luke Littler’s A-list celebrity status.
The World No1 has taken almost a clean sweep of glory with six TV titles in a year including the Grand Prix, Grand Slam, Players Championship, Worlds, World Cup and Matchplay - raking in over £1million in prize money.
But 17-year-old sensation Littler is still the most talked about player on the planet.
However classy Humphries, 29, dismisses any suggestion of being disgruntled by Littler rubbing shoulders with top celebs like Lando Norris and Liam Gallagher.
‘Cool Hand’ bids for more glory in the Australian Masters later this week and told Online Darts: “I think a lot of the fans sort of respect and understand the things I’ve achieved and how incredible it is.
“Luke obviously is fantastic with his social media presence and all the celebrities he meets and stuff like that.

“If I was 18 years old, maybe I’d feel a little bit jealous but I’m nearly 30 now!
“Meeting celebrities, that’s not the top of my list anymore. Doing things like that doesn’t interest me. But for Luke, a 17-year-old, it must be amazing.”
Humphries surprisingly got a few jeers from fans earlier in the year but after taking victory in the World Matchplay last month, he seems to have won over the boo-boys.
He added: “There’s a few occurrences that have happened. The Dimitri Van den Bergh thing, with him shrugging the shoulders and I’d usually just ignore it, but I thought no.

“That’s not in my personality, but you know, sometimes it is nice to be a part of it and if people are going to say things about me, then I'll say things back.”
